Take a self-guided tour of public art from June 2 to September 2 as part of the 2nd annual Sculpture Walk in downtown Oak Park. The walk features 12 world-class sculptures prominently placed among Oak Park's many shops and restaurants.

The show will consist of solos, duets, and small group numbers from the musicals SCP has performed over the past 70 years! There will be two showings on November 4th and on November 5th at 7:30pm.

The Stagecoach Players Theatre presents "A Christmas Carol." Ebenezer Scrooge has lost his only friend, his business partner Jacob Marley. Seven years have passed since Marley's Christmas death, and Scrooge has not changed a bit. He still refuses to give to the poor, suggesting that for them perhaps the only place better than prison is the grave. He still only grudgingly gives his employee Christmas day off, and he still refuses his nephew's offer of Christmas dinner. He dismisses the whole holiday as a "Humbug." This play is adapted and directed by Dan Hyde from a story by Charles Dickens. Showing on the following dates and times: Nov. 26th and Dec. 1-3 @ 7:30 pm; Nov. 27th and Dec.3-4 @ 2:00 pm

One of the largest free outdoor holiday light displays in Northern Illinois, the Festival of Lights, returns with dazzling displays that will delight both adults and children. Enjoy the magic! This year features a 20’ tall “singing” Christmas tree. This signature winter event is a drive-through of more than one mile of spectacular lighted displays, many of which are animated, and are illuminated by tens of thousands of bulbs. Staged at Aurora's gem, Phillips Park, the festival will be open from 5 - 9 pm Sundays through Thursdays and 5 - 10 pm Fridays and Saturdays. Presented by the Aurora Rotary Club in partnership with the City of Aurora, Free: donations encouraged.
The 44th annual Autumn Craft & Treasures Market, sponsored by the Sycamore Music Boosters, is part of the Sycamore Pumpkin Festival weekend October 29 & 30, 2016. This event will be held at the Sycamore High School Fieldhouse, Saturday, October 29 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday, October 30 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Away in the Basement takes us back to 1959 and the day of the Sunday School Christmas Program. In the midst of holiday preparations, the ladies are creating their own memories from Christmases past and present. As the children rehearse up in the sanctuary, several of the ladies of the kitchen are finishing up the treat bags while the others put the final touches on the nativity pieces. Mending old bathrobe costumes and discussing who’s going to play the various roles, little do the ladies know what surprises are in store for them. Known for their hilarious antics and subtle charm, they are once again called upon to step in and save the day!
