2015 Frank Lloyd Wright Races
Registration for the 39th Annual Frank Lloyd Wright Races is now open and if you register before September 1, you save $10! The race date is Sunday, October 18, 2015! Bring your racing and running season to a close in historic Oak Park with the flat, fast, and scenic route of the 2015 Frank Lloyd Wright Races, featuring a 5K Run/Walk, the 10K Run, and the Youth Mile for ages 7-14. All events are on Sunday, October 18 and start just east of Oak Park River Forest High School (201 N. BMW Championship 2015
Lake County and Conway Farms are pleased to host the BMW Championship for 2015. Spectators can purchase tickets to watch the greatest of all players compete for the title. Colgate Skating & Gymnastics Spectacular Featuring Meryl Davis and Charlie White
Olympic Champions Meryl Davis and Charlie White will headline the Colgate Skating & Gymnastics Spectacular at the Northern Illinois University Convocation Center on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 7:30 pm. Doors open at 6:30pm. The cast will feature the most decorated dance team in U.S. figure skating history, 2014 Olympic champions and two-time World champions Davis and White. More gymnastic stars as well as a special guest singing star will be added as the event draws closer. In addition, an Olympic dream team will host the show in DeKalb: Olympic figure skating Champion Kristi Yamaguchi, three-time U.S. Champion Michael Weiss, and Olympic gymnastics Champions Nadia Comaneci and Bart Conner. Crab Orchard Kennel Club AKC Dog Show
This Annual AKC Dog Show boasts many additional amenities. Sign up to bring your dog to the hearing clinic or get their nails trimmed while you wait. Over 100 breeds will try to make it to the Best In Show ring. There will also be vendors of dog treats, toys, beds, blankets and more.

Great River Road Run
We offer a half marathon walk/run, 5K walk/run a 10K walk/run as well as a 13.1 and 55 mile bike ride. The race begins in Hamilton, Illinois, travels along the mighty Mississippi and ends in Nauvoo, Illinois at the state park. The Great River Road Run is one of the most scenic sport races in America and the proceeds benefit the Hancock County, Illinois Food Pantries.

This swap meet involves the buying, selling and trading of game birds, animals, pets and supplies. Vendors will also be available with local honey, garden plants, flowers, and a small flea market. Events opens at 6 am. Gate Fee: $3.00 per person over the age of 12.

Rock Island Grand Prix
The world's best drivers come to compete for one of go-karting's largest cash purses with payouts through ninth place. Last year attracted more than 30,000 spectators to the two days of racing. Festival week includes nightly outdoor concerts, driver's parade, fan autograph session and special Sunday post-race awards ceremony. There are also food and merchandise booths, kid's activities and other race-related activities. Free admission.
Rockford Speedway - National Short Track Championships
This season's edition of NSTC features a wide array of short track racing machines and drivers from across the country converging on Rockford Speedway, vying for a chance at glory on Rockford's famed ‘high banks.' The high-powered Super Late Models once again return as the main attraction of NSTC, taking part both Saturday and Sunday in "One Great Racing Weekend."
