Each year enthusiasts, builders, and pilots travel to the KR Gathering to exchange ideas, to learn more about the KR, talk to pilots and other builders, take pictures to assist in the building process and to see friends from past gatherings.

The Night Market will provide artists, growers and artisan food producers who work 9-5 jobs with an opportunity to sell their wares at a mid-week Market. There are many on-site amenities that will be enjoyed by vendors and shoppers alike, including live bands from 6:00- 9:00 p.m., great food and drinks, restrooms, and electricity for vendor booths. The Night Market place every Wednesday night in the warehouse behind Elijah P's Burgers and Brews.
Pleasant Creek Campground
Pleasant Creek Campground is located 5 miles from the entrance of Starved Rock State Park in the gateway town of Oglesby Illinois. Pleasant Creek Campground is situated in a wooded setting along a tributary of the Virmilion River, surrounded by hills and mature trees. Pleasant Creek Campground has undergone numerous renovations and upgrades. There are 140 spacious sites with plenty of room for slide-outs and awnings. A variety of sites are available. Several sites, including full hook-up sites, are located right along the creek. All sites include a fire ring, picnic table, and varying amount of shade. One highlight of the campground is a spring-fed fishing pond that is naturally maintained year round. Our Camp Store, located at the Welcome Center, is stocked with camping provisions, ice, firewood and all of the supplies that you may have forgotten to pack. Our Bathhouse is equipped with sinks, counter tops, showers, and a laundry room (coin operated). Illinois' Newest RV & Tenting Campground is located just 5 miles from Starved Rock State Park. We have Creekside Campsites, Stocked Fishing Pond, Well Supplied Camp Store. Pere Marquette Rendezvous
Step back in time to the days when frontier fur trappers met with fur traders and buyers during this reenactment festival at Pere Marquette State Park. The Second Annual Pere Marquette State Park Rendezvous will be a traditional Pre-1840 event with buckskinned re-enactors portraying primitive traders and campers. There will be period demonstrations, black powder and longbow shoots, camp music and food common to days on the Illinois frontier. The public is invited to attend and admission is free.
The Dari Company
A Hebron summer tradition since the 1960s, this is a classic corner hamburger/ice cream stand. The menu is simple: Vienna Beef hot dogs, good quality hamburgers,breaded, fried everything and excellent ice cream. The food is cooked to order, and always tastes good. If you are passing through Hebron, The Dari is a must stop. Open seasonally March through October.

Great River Road Run
We offer a half marathon walk/run, 5K walk/run a 10K walk/run as well as a 13.1 and 55 mile bike ride. The race begins in Hamilton, Illinois, travels along the mighty Mississippi and ends in Nauvoo, Illinois at the state park. The Great River Road Run is one of the most scenic sport races in America and the proceeds benefit the Hancock County, Illinois Food Pantries.
