8th Annual Crazy Horse Bluegrass Festival
There will Friday and Saturday night performances and a Sunday morning gospel show.
Fall Festival at Lincoln’s New Salem
Come and see what a typical autumn life was like on the 1830's Illinois prairie. There will be costumed interpreters demonstrating daily tasks such as candle dipping, butter churning, soap making, basket making, spinning wool, gardening, natural dyeing, and fishing with nets. As well as a demonstration of meat smoking that will take place in one of the log village's period smokehouses. Wild game cooking will be demonstrated in the log homes and you are also welcome to step down into the cellar at the tavern to see how fruits and vegetables were preserved during the winter.
Clayville Spring Festival
Pioneer artisan and craftsman demonstration, historic building tours, kids activities, craft vendors, with food and refreshments. Enjoy period music and audience participation entertainment throughout the weekend in an 1820's pioneer village.
Annual Chili Cookoff
The Annual Chili Cook-off is a popular fall event that features area chefs preparing their favorite chilies. The celebration gives patrons the chance to sample some great chilies and vote for their favorite, while enjoying live music and locally produced wines. Enjoy a hot bowl of chili on a colorful fall day at Hill Prairie Winery.
A visit to The Farm means many things to many people. Some come to find unique, hand-made, one of a kind items in our Shop. Many enjoy the beautiful Gardens to see hard-to-find plants in a landscape situation or to relax under an arbor. It is a favorite spot for wedding photos, senior pictures and family events. The Greenhouse features a variety of plants that you won’t find at the big box stores. Couples and families can enjoy a relaxing weekend in The Loft B&B, with luxurious amenities, privacy and a great view of our 63 rolling acres. Groups book The Farm for hayrides, group tours, picnics and bonfires throughout the year.

We also have a nice riding area for novice and young riders. We offer riders two different tracks as well. Riders like our trails as we offer rock, sand and mud surfaces. The grave site of Ann Rutledge, Abraham Lincoln's first sweetheart, is located at Oakland Cemetery. Her tombstone bears an inscription written by poet Edgar Lee Masters, who is burried nearby.
