1st Annual Summer Pow-wow
Come join the American Indian Center and enjoy a day out in the country air. Learn about the Native American Indians and their culture. World Whiffleball Championship
The 34th annual open wiffleball tournament, the world's largest and oldest — set for June 29-30, 2013 — will host four- to five-player teams, ages 10+, all of whom will play a four-game schedule on Saturday, June 29, followed by a single elimination tournament for top qualifiers on either Saturday evening or on Sunday (depending on the number of entries). Artifact Talk: Rescue and Renewal
Grace Cohen Grossman, Curator Emerita, Skirball Museum, Los Angeles, details the history of the JCR & its task at the end of World War II to identify looted, "heirless" Jewish ceremonial objects and books, and to reclaim them for the Jewish people. Over sixty objects were placed in the care of the HTC. On loan to the Museum, these treasured artifacts will now be on display in the Feis Family Lobby.
