Visitors of all ages have lots to do and see at this free family-friendly event. Kids can go through the hay maze, pick pumpkins or pet the new calves in the calf barn! There will be several artisan cheeses and other treats available for purchase.
Come to the Lewis & Clark Confluence Tower and enjoy free live music in the new outdoor amphitheater. Well known musicians from around the region will be featured during this fall's "Rockin' on the Rivers" Concerts at the Confluence. The concerts will be held for seven consecutive Sundays, beginning Sept. 4 and running through Oct. 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Concessions will be available.
Meet your favorite Super Hero during the Super Hero Shuffle 5K/10K Run & Walk and Family Festival at the Confluence Tower Saturday, Sept. 10. This event is sponsored by and benefits Isaac's Rays of Hope, a non-profit organization supporting children with cancer and their families. Join forces with Isaac's Rays of Hope as we honor our smallest but mightiest Super Heroes, kids fighting cancer and other life threatening illnesses! Dress in your favorite super hero costume (not required) and enjoy a scenic stroll or run down the Madison County Confluence Trail near the Lewis and Clark Confluence Tower passing the Lewis and Clark State Historic Site and the meeting of the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers! Course is primarily flat with a few minor inclines. Strollers and wagons welcome.
Peel Wood Fired Pizza & Brewing Company boasts a large dining room, a lounge area with couches and oversized chairs, a 30 seat brew pub, and a 40 foot butcher block bar. The county’s favorite soft drink, Ski, was added in 1961 and accounts for the majority of soda produced. We are one of a few remaining “mom & pop” bottlers left in the nation. As a huge fan of craft beer, we established Excel Brewing Company in 2012. This event will center on walking your dogs on a two mile course. There will be dog trainers, groomers, and dog adoptions from local societies. At 1:00 p.m. a guest speaker will be hosted within the Interpretive Center's theater. The event is only on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Dogs will only be allowed in the theater between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Dogs may be walked through and around Camp River Dubois. Jo and Al, husband and wife vintners, produce wines made from local fruits of nearby orchards and berry fields. Apples make a nice dry to resemble Chardinay. Blackberries are a little sweet with a dry finish. Strawberries are sweet and smooth. Their country store has home-made jellies, candies, pickles, beef jerky and one of the best salsas in Illinois. Come in for a free taste sample or to browse the gift shop.
The vibrant colors of autumn provide the perfect canvas to paint a relaxing weekend filled with fine art, mouthwatering food and superb entertainment. Lindendale Park offers a tranquil setting where nearly 70 professional artists display their works of fine art. Festival attendees can shop for works of art in twelve categories. Children, too, can shop for just $5.00 at a special art gallery of work donated by the artists.

Come celebrate the arrival of Lewis and Clark at Camp River Dubois. This annual event commemorates December 12, the day William Clark and the men of the detachment arrived at the confluence of the "Riviere a Dubois," Mississippi and Missouri Rivers.
