Nestled in the heartland of West Central Illinois is a golf course you won't want to miss as you travel through this area. Oak Run Golf Course is located 15 miles east of Galesburg, Illinois and is a very comfortable drive from Peoria and the Quad Cities. We are located north of US Highway 150 on County 12. Oak Run Golf Course is a public 18 hole course with well defined fairways and nicely bunkered. Several ponds and a small lake add to the beauty and come into play. There are three sets of tees to fit any level of play. Our large, well kept greens will test your putting skills, and run consistently medium/fast.
Maple Bluff Golf Club is Geneseo's only 18 hole golf course and the best kept secret in the Quad Cities area. This par 72 championship layout is open to the public and can be enjoyed by golfers of all levels, from any of the four sets of tees.
Baker Park offers a par 71, 18 hole golf course. The front nine is all flat holes, while the back 9 offers a little more of a challenge with the hills. Need to warm up before your round? Or just need to perfect your swing? Then take some practice balls at our driving range. Tokens can be purchased at the clubhouse. And be sure to try out the small par 3 practice course located at the far end of the driving range. Stop in to the 19th Hole Clubhouse for snacks and refreshments.
The 18-hole "Hidden Lakes" course at the Hidden Lakes Country Club facility in Sheffield, Illinois features 5,705 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70 . The course rating is 115.0 and it has a slope rating of 67. Designed by Steven Halberg, the Hidden Lakes golf course opened in 1921.
The festival features annual pancake breakfast, ethnic food fair, arts and craft show, classic car show, steam engine display, antique tractors, a kiddies’ tractor pull, entertainment and tours of Woodland Palace. Stay for the evening and at dusk the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce hosts a fireworks spectacular at Northeast Park in Kewanee. Events begin at 6 am.

Celebrate creativity and public art downtown Kewanee, Illinois, July 15 – 17 during the Prairie Chicken Chalk Art Festival. Professional and amateur artists will compete and create colorful art on a concrete canvas sure to catch your eye. Shaun Hayes, Chicago Chalk Art Champ will be the featured performance artist. Shaun will dazzle you with his 3D illusionary chalk artistry. There is truly something for everyone of any age to enjoy, kid’s area with hand-on art children activities, art vendors and the Kewanee car show with vintage cars lining the streets of downtown Kewanee. Live music will be featured throughout downtown Kewanee while you stroll the car show, shop and dine in Kewanee’s specialty shops and restaurants. Color Run Prairie Run is a 5K run/walk with a twist of color. Start out sparkling clean, be prepared for color cloud bursts of blue, green, pink, purples, and yellow as you run along the course. As you finish you’ll look like a tie-dyed Hippie! A non-competitive run it is open to all ages! Be inspired by color! Pick up some chalk, and be an artist this July downtown Kewanee!

The pie auction is legendary and encapsulates the best of small-town, Midwesterner living. The fun continues Saturday with a 5K run, a parade, and lots of food and fun. Events wrap up Sunday with a talent show.

Evenings offer a movie, food, nightly entertainment, and fireworks – first of the season in Henry County! After the Sunday parade, have a slice of pie or buy one to take home from the annual auction.

Gather in City Park to enjoy the community supper and watch the queen contest. Saturday, run with dad in the Maple City 4, a 4K race. Roam the farmer’s market and City Park, filled with arts and crafts, antique tractors, family activities, food, and music!
