Gazebo Art Festival
In coordination with the Al Sears Jazz Festival, this event in Macomb's Chandler Park provides a vibrant atmosphere for music and art lovers alike! The Macomb Public Library will also host one of its annual book sales, and food vendors are available. The festival will take place September 19, 9 am to 5 pm.

Macomb Balloon Rally
Enjoy a picnic with the family, while watching beautiful hot air balloons soar in the sky! This event is free and open to anyone who wants to attend. On September 11, the balloons will be flying in at 5:30 pm. Food and live entertainment will kickoff the balloon glow on September 12 from 6 pm to 9 pm.
Great River Road Run
We offer a half marathon walk/run, 5K walk/run a 10K walk/run as well as a 13.1 and 55 mile bike ride. The race begins in Hamilton, Illinois, travels along the mighty Mississippi and ends in Nauvoo, Illinois at the state park. The Great River Road Run is one of the most scenic sport races in America and the proceeds benefit the Hancock County, Illinois Food Pantries.
Macomb Kite Festival
In Conjunction with the Macomb Balloon Rally, this event will feature a professional kite team, and several show kites. Macomb's vibrant kite festival will include activities for all ages and will be happening all day long!
2015 Fall Cruise-In & Concert
Cruise down to Macomb, Illinois on September 13 to enjoy a day of raffles, prizes, food vendors, and live entertainment by Tanya Tucker. This event is hosted by Texas Tranzplants to help local veterans and their children. Tickets for this event are $25. Doors open at 12:30 pm, and the concert ends at 5 pm. To register your classic car for a chance to win $100, stop by registration at 8 am.

The weekend of the Gazebo Art Festival, Macomb’s Western Illinois University hosts the annual Al Sears Jazz Festival, sharing Chandler Park and providing a vibrant atmosphere for music and art lovers alike. Art Media Categories include 2-D such as drawing, photography/digital photography, digital art, printmaking, mixed media, painting, fiber arts and 3-D such as clay, jewelry, sculpture, wood and glass.
Mississippi Valley Wine Trail
The Mississippi Valley Wine Trail, bordering the western region of the fertile lands of Illinois along the expansive Mississippi River. Each of the five wineries are family-owned and operated, some fifth generation and some first. Each holds its own unique story, with origins dating from 1857 to 2012.
Bootiful Nauvoo Pumpkin Walk

Owned by the Lamoreaux family of Historic 1840s Nauvoo, sleeps ten comfortably, is within walking distance of the Nauvoo Temple, and has a modern addition with all the amenities. Although situated near Old Nauvoo and the wonderful historic sites down on the "flats," the home sits on quiet end of Knight Street and backs to a large communal back yard with a well-equipped pavilion that is also available for day-rental. Perfect for large groups or small families. The home sleeps ten comfortably with five bedrooms--four of them in the historic part of the house, and one in the loft. Two have king beds, and three queens. The large living room downstairs has lots of lounge and sitting room and a gas fireplace. The kitchen and separate dining area provide all the appliances and kitchen needs for a large family. A large, double-wide driveway for plenty of parking. The house addition includes a istoric stairway that was moved from a 150-year-old bank and a full service bathroom with Jacuzzi (and shower) on the main floor. There is also a full bath in the basement (with shower), and a half bath in the loft. There is a washer and dryer for guest use downstairs, and the home is centrally heated and cooled for year-round comfort. High speed Internet access, cable TV, and DVD player all for guest use.
