Kid'Cation Scavenger Hunt at the Tower
Take part in the Kid'Cation Confluence Tower Scavenger Hunt July 31 and earn fun prizes! All children who tour the Tower can participate. Tour guides will provide a special Scavenger Hunt activity sheet and give clues throughout the tour. At the end of the tour, children will receive a special gift. For this event, the Tower is offering reduced tour rates of $1 per child and $2 for adults.

Country legend Dwight Yoakam will be performing in Alton along with The Glendale Riders on July 10th 2015. Yoakam has won two Grammy Awards and has been nominated 15 times. With every online order for Dwight Yoakam show tickets, fans will receive one standard physical copy of his new album “Second Hand Heart." Ticket purchasers will receive instructions via e-mail on how to redeem their album within 10-14 business days after their order.

Mississippi Mud Pottery
Natural clay materials are molded and crafted right before your eyes into creative, functional stoneware pottery. Choose from a wide variety of handmade pieces to enjoy in everyday settings or as decorative objects. A popular item are the ceramic fish. Actual fish that have been caught on a hook and line are used to create a mold and clay is used to reproduce a likeness of the fish. After firing, the clay is glazed and natural or artistic colorations are applied. The finished piece is a unique one of a kind piece - a reminder of the one that did not get away! Open Wednesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and Monday, noon to 4 p.m.
Twilight Thursdays at the Tower
Watch the sunset over the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers from 150 feet in the air at the Lewis & Clark Confluence Tower. Experience the breathtaking view of the landscape during the twilight hours, July 16th and 30th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at “Twilight Thursdays” at the Lewis & Clark Confluence Tower. Admission is $5 per person.

Gateway Motorsports Park

Tour De Donut
A 32 +/- bicycle race that starts and ends in Staunton, IL Firemen’s Park. While racing, riders stop at two check points (donut stops). While donut consumption is not mandatory, donuts consumed will reward the rider with 5 minutes off their time for each donut.
