Frozen at the Tower
It may be hot this summer, but the Lewis and Clark Confluence Tower is celebrating all things "Frozen" on Saturday, Aug. 6. Anna and Elsa from the movie "Frozen" will be on the upper two levels of the Tower for a meet and greet event and photos with their fans. Free Frozen souvenir balloon art from Jay "The Balloon Dude". Tower admission is $1 for children and $2 for adults.

Indian Princess Storytelling at the Confluence Tower
Meet Indian Princesses Pocahontas and Sacajawea during a special storytelling experience Saturday, July 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The two princesses will appear at the Tower's outdoor amphitheater for a storytelling session and meet and greet. Stumpy's Spirits Distillery
Stumpy's Spirits is a new kind of craft distillery that takes distilling back to its roots. The distillery is built on 10 acres our 8th generation family farm in Columbia, IL where we plant, grow, and harvest the grain used to produce Unbroken Vodka, Old Monroe White Whiskey, and soon a host of other whiskeys. Not only do we use our own grain, but we use fresh well well water too. Small batch, hand-crafted, and fresh from the field...just the way craft spirits were meant to be.
Lewis & Clark Frontier Dog Walk
This event will center on walking your dogs on a two mile course. There will be dog trainers, groomers, and dog adoptions from local societies. At 1:00 p.m. a guest speaker will be hosted within the Interpretive Center's theater. The event is only on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Dogs will only be allowed in the theater between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Dogs may be walked through and around Camp River Dubois. Jo-Al Winery and Country Store
Jo and Al, husband and wife vintners, produce wines made from local fruits of nearby orchards and berry fields. Apples make a nice dry to resemble Chardinay. Blackberries are a little sweet with a dry finish. Strawberries are sweet and smooth. Their country store has home-made jellies, candies, pickles, beef jerky and one of the best salsas in Illinois. Come in for a free taste sample or to browse the gift shop.
Kid'Cation Scavenger Hunt at the Tower
Take part in the Kid'Cation Confluence Tower Scavenger Hunt July 29 through Aug. 7 and earn fun prizes! All children who tour the Tower can participate. Tour guides will provide a special Scavenger Hunt activity sheet and give clues throughout the tour. At the end of the tour, children will receive a special gift. For this event, the Tower is offering reduced tour rates of $1 per child and $2 for adults.
Annual Wood River Triathlon
Are you physically fit and up for a challenge? Be a part of the annual Wood River Triathlon. The event will begin with a swim at the Aquatic Center, followed by a bike ride and run through the streets of Wood River.
Arrival at Camp River Dubois
Come celebrate the arrival of Lewis and Clark at Camp River Dubois. This annual event commemorates December 12, the day William Clark and the men of the detachment arrived at the confluence of the "Riviere a Dubois," Mississippi and Missouri Rivers. Lewis & Clark Music Festival
Join us for the annual Lewis & Clark Music Festival. Traditional music of the late 1700s and early 1800s will be performed by musicians playing fiddles, dulcimers and flutes.
