Live on Main - Aaron Kamm & The One Drops/ Nikki Hill
The Carbondale Music Coalition and Carbondale Tourism will be hosting this "concert in the street!" Free live music will be held on Monroe street in Carbondale next to City Hall. Nikki Hill and Aaron Kamm will be performing! Everyone is welcome. Food and beer will be available for purchase.

Chef Clash in the Arena
This is a fun experience where 100 local people will share a taste of their best dish from one of these categories: appetizer, soup/salad, bread, side dish, main dish or dessert with 600 or more attendees. Tickets are $75 each and include unlimited alcoholic beverages and sampling. There will also be Live & Silent Auctions during the event.

The festival will be held on Grand Ave between Wall St and Washington St. There will be a variety of musical performances along with food and beer vendors. We have a rainbow variety of heirloom vegetables and potted herbs available for purchase when in season. If you are interested in holding a wedding or reunion or other event here, contact us for fees and dates. We also host senior photos, maternity photos, homecoming and prom photos, etc. for a small fee. The money earned from entrance fees and herbs/vegetable sales is directly invested into growing Mandala Gardens.

Walker’s Bluff is gearing up to host a Car Show on June 11th! This is a non-judged event. Vendor spaces are available. There will be live music by Zippy's Clutch as well as food, beer, and wine! Southern Illinois Music Festival
The Southern Illinois Music Festival, now in its 12th season, is presenting Rossini's final opera, William Tell, sung in French with projected English supertitles, at the Marion Cultural and Civic Center June 7, 8, 10 and 11. This opera has only been produced in the United States three times in the last century, so this is an historic event. The Festival Orchestra will also perform a grand orchestral program of Bach, Beethoven and Brahms, including the “Eroica” Symphony and the Double Concerto for Violin, Cello and Orchestra, featuring violinist, Michael Barta and cellist, Eric Lenz. The Festival will also present music by Mozart from 1776, including his three great violin concerti, the concerto for three pianos, the Serenata Notturno and the “Paris” Symphony. Mark your calendars for May 27 through June 13, 2016. The Southern Illinois Music Festival presents three-dozen professional performances of classical music and jazz in two dozen venues throughout Southern Illinois each June.

Carterville Free Fair
The 103rd annual Carterville Free Fair will include a Twilight 5K Run/Walk hosted by the Carterville Chamber of Commerce. Sponsored by the Carterville Lions Club, the fair will be Sept. 8 through Sept. 10 at Cannon Park Midway off Greenbriar Road. The event offers carnival rides, games, free entertainment, food and more. The annual free fair parade begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10.

Carterville Community Center
The Fred G. Harrison Annex at the Carterville Community Center is a large banquet facility that offers the renter options such as using a full kitchen or just renting one half of the banquet hall. Special events such as bridal showers, baby showers, and children's birthday parties, reunions and other events can be held here.
