Rock Falls Percussion Palooza
Percussion Palooza, an educational and entertainment event featuring a solo and ensemble competition for snare drum, melodic percussion, multi-percussion and drum set for middle and high school students and post-secondary level percussionists, will be held Feb 28th from noon to 7pm at Rock Falls High School. Also performing at the Premier Showcase are percussion ensembles and drum lines from throughout Northern Illinois and Eastern Iowa. The annual Louie Bellson Inspiration Award will also be given to honor the heritage of Rock Falls own Louie Bellson, the world renown & legendary percussionist who was born in Rock Falls.

The Lewis & Clark Confluence Tower will open at 9:30 a.m. with the Birds of Prey show from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Lewis & Clark Point of Departure
Come and commemorate the departure of the Lewis and Clark expedition from Camp River Dubois. View life in 1803-1804 as the men prepare for their departure and re-enactors portray military life. On the grounds are craft exhibitors demonstrating early American skills, woodworking, candle making, marching drills, cooking and shooting demonstrations.
