Museum of the Gilding Arts
The Museum of the Gilding Arts' focus is the history, craft, and use of gold and silver leafing in architecture and in decoration throughout history. The exhibit features items from the Society of Gilders' Swift Collection. The M. Swift & Sons company manufactured gold leaf in Hartford, CT, and began its operations in 1887. The Original American Passion Play
Now in its 93rd season, the American Passion Play is one of the oldest, continuously-performed, passion plays in the United States. This Biblically accurate performance takes the audience on a spiritual journey to Palestine, 30 AD where they travel with the living Christ, meet his Apostles and follow his ministry from the Sermon on the Mount to His resurrection and ascension. The play features beautiful scenery, live pipe organ music, live voices and even live animals.
Downtown Bloomington Farmers Market
The Market is open from 7:30 a.m. to noon every Saturday morning from May through October. Located on the historic downtown square, the Farmers’ Market is managed by the Downtown Bloomington Association. Not only does the market give customers a colorful venue to buy locally grown farm products, it also puts them in touch with local artisans of prepared goods and fine arts, musicians, and community organizations. The Downtown Bloomington Association Farmers’ Market is a producer-only market offering a wide array of farm products — including vegetables, fruits, cheeses, pork, beef, free-range poultry and eggs, flowers, plants, herbs, and more grown and produced by the individual selling these items! The market features different musical performances each week. Cooking demos are offered regularly, and the Kids’ Zone has sponsors that offer weekly hands-on activities for all ages.
Thresherman's Bluegrass Festival
Celebrating all things bluegrass. Nationally known entertainers, dancers, and festival food. Bring your lawn chair, settle in and enjoy the music. Held at Threshermen's Park, north of Pontiac on Illinois Route 23.
Livingston County Ag Fair
Since 1930 this volunteer-run agricultural fair has provided fun family entertainment. Activities include a chainsaw carving auction, cake auction for Ag scholarships, the Broken Horn Rodeo, and the Ramer Demo Derby. Also included are livestock shows, agricultural exhibits, horse show, kiddie tractor pull and pig races.

Central States Threshermen's Reunion
Step back in time at the Central States Thresherman’s Reunion, held annually over Labor Day weekend. Come see and experience traditional events including rock crushing, threshing, sheep shearing, tractor pulls, and a variety of country music shows. Daily attractions include the General Store, 1900 Country School House, Singer Saw Mill, 1910 Era Blacksmith Shop, 1920 Conoco Gas Station, Craft Show, and Flea Market.
