The David Erlanson Art Gallery is located in the center of the Richland Community College campus and is used to display artwork of students, faculty, and professional artists. Each month, a new artist is featured and the public is invited to a reception honoring the artist. Annual student and faculty shows are also featured and the gallery space has served as a stage for other art events such as readings and dramatic performances. This intimate space showcases a wide range of works from regional artists, while enhancing the college’s art program. Decatur Gun Club
The origins and growth of the Decatur Gun Club parallel that of the clay target itself, and the games created to hone and test shotgun shooting skill. Shotgun sport shooting with live pigeons and later, glass balls existed in the U.S. from the early 1800's. But the first "clay pigeon" and "trap" to throw it were not developed until about 1880 by George Ligowsky. William Brett From Decatur was the second manufacturer of clay targets in the U.S., which he called the "Decatur Red Bird". Considered the oldest shotgun shooting sports club in Illinois, the Decatur Gun Club was founded soon after clay targets were invented. Chan Powers and Bert Hildebrandt were two of the mentors of the club, first located near East William Street Road and 22nd Street. In the early years, the club occupied sites in the Hess Park area, the Wyckles Corner area, the Macon County Fairgrounds, and an area west of the Fairgrounds before finding it's home of the past 61 years at the north end of Faries Park.

Lou Ann Jacobs purchased the Decatur business in 1978 and has added her own flare and expertise to the business taking it way beyond what anyone could have imagined. Findlay Walleye Festival
This yearly festival has plenty of entertainment, food and fun. The Walleye is a feature for the festival with the fish being served daily. There will be plenty of entertainment (bands), an ice cream social, fireworks on Friday (which will be moved to Saturday if there is rain), kids games, a farmer's market, tractor pull, car, truck, & motorcycle show, a 5K event and plenty more. A large parade starts at 10am on Saturday and there will be plenty of kids activities and games both days.

Harvest Frolic Fall Celebration
Celebrate the arrival of autumn with Lincoln Log Cabin’s annual Harvest Frolic on Saturday and Sunday, September 27-28 from 10am to 4pm daily. Activities will take place at both the Lincoln and Sargent farms including children’s games, doll making and hearth cooking.
