29th Annual Toy Show The Mark Twain Toy Show is one of the finest toy shows in the Mid-West. It showcases collectible toys and crafts related to agriculture, construction, transportation and motor sports. 44th Annual Christmas Crossroads Craft Show
Christmas Crossroads, presented by the Lockport Woman's Club, has been a crowd pleaser since its inception in 1971. Featured this year will be 185-190 artisans and craftsmen from a 6 state area, selling such items as Christmas wreaths, centerpieces, ornaments, dolls and doll clothes. Also highlighted are hand painted glass and windows, bath salts and soaps, purses, plus quilted and sewn creations, dog/cat items, music boxes, jewelry, pottery, candles, garden art, and photographs. Also included are children's and women's clothing, a variety of Christmas angels and snowmen, herbal vinegar's and oils, dips, floral, furniture, American Girl/Bitty Baby accessories and wooden and country crafts. Local organizations participating include Trinity, Lockport Boy Scout Troop 63, Lockport Lion's Club, St. John Episcopal Church and Hospice. All proceeds from the show are used for collegiate, vocational and summer camp scholarships. Light Up the Holidays Parade and Festival is held on the Friday following Thanksgiving each year. Activities begin at 10:00am and include the Renaissance Center Fun Fair, activities in the Joliet Historical Museum, Joliet Public Library, Gji's Sweet Shoppe, Jitters Coffeehouse, Chicken-N-Spice, The Red Goose Bakery and more. The Gazebo Art Festival is held on the outdoor grounds of Chandler Park in downtown Macomb! This setting is a wonderful place for the public to view art, chat with artist and enjoy live performances and music from the Al Sears Jazz Music Festival. There will also be activities and fun for children!
Storytelling at Fox Ridge
Many different storytelling events are held under the serenity of the pines at Fox Ridge, our outdoor education & entertainment venue, across from the main doors of the Lodge. Campfire Stories are every Saturday night from July through October. Join us and some of the Illinois Valley’s most engaging storytellers as they share stories, legends, facts and fiction around the fire. Audience participation is welcome so be ready for some fun! Storytime starts at 7:00 pm. Come and sit around the campfire and share your own stories as well as listen to stories told by professionals. Don't worry about the snacks. Popcorn and supplies for s'mores will be sold at the Fox's Den.

Aurora's Holiday Festival of Lights
Enjoy the sparkle, shimmer and shine of the 2014 Festival of Lights. One of the largest free outdoor holiday light displays in Northern Illinois. Dazzling displays that will delight both adults and children. A winter wonderland of animated visual arts, lighted tunnels, a forest full of lights and more! The 49th Annual International Lincoln Presidential Half Marathon invites runners from around the world to participate in the 13.1-mile race past the nation’s premier Lincoln sites.
Christmas at the Mill Holiday Boutique
The Mill and the Graue House will be open for a special holiday shopping event to get you in the Christmas spirit! Talented local artists will be selling handcrafted Christmas decorations, unique jewelry, stained glass, pottery, and handwoven and knitted items. Specially selected ornaments, other great decorative items, and stocking stuffers will be for sale in the Mill's gift shop. Decorated Christmas trees and strolling carolers add to the fun. Sale hours are 10 am to 4 pm, and Santa will stop by from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Annually, more than 14,000 visitors stream through the David S. Palmer Arena to see beautifully decorated trees and wreaths, participate in activities and entertainment, special events, and the sounds and tastes of the holidays at the Danville Festival of Trees. Proceeds from the Festival of Trees fund outreach programs that give back to the greater Danville community.
Winneshiek Players Present: "Rocky Horror Picture Show"
For two nights only The Winnieshiek stage will transform into a mysterious old castle, where two unsuspecting travelers meet a crazy doctor and other crazy creatures.
