Clayton's Tap has been family owned and operated for over 40 years. In 1973, W. Clayton Darlington purchased Farmers Paradise from Hank Briscoe. The tavern was truly a "Farmers Paradise". Shortly after Hank Briscoe passed away, it was renamed Clayton's Tap. In 2004, ownership transferred within the family, and the tavern was closed for a short time and completely remodeled. A back room with adjacent beer garden was built to host live entertainment and private parties, and the original Brunswick bar which won the World's Fair in 1933 was refurbished and is still in use today. Designed by the Chicago firm John Ronan Architects, the building helps the Foundation to carry out its mission: to discover and celebrate the best poetry and place it before the largest possible audience. The facility includes a 30,000-volume poetry library, an exhibition gallery, a performance space for the Foundation's extensive roster of public events and the Poetry Foundation's programming offices, including those of Poetry magazine.

DakhaBrakha is a quartet from Kiev, Ukraine. Reflecting fundamental elements of sound and soul, Ukrainian "ethno chaos" band DakhaBrakha creates a world of unexpected new music. DakhaBrakha was created in 2004 at the Kyiv Center of Contemporary Art "DAKH" by the avant-garde theatre director - Vladyslav Troitskyi - and given the name that means "give/take" in the old Ukrainian language. Theatre work has left its mark on the band performances - their shows are always staged with a strong visual element.

The course started out as a simple, but challenging, nine hole course. In 2000 the the Village of Moweaqua purchased land that bordered the course to the west and in 2003 the back nine was built.
