Sugar Grove will be only the third Illinois city to host the Division I Golf Championships. Cook County’s Olympia Fields Country Club hosted the men’s championship in 1943, while Conway Farms Golf Club outside of Chicago played host to the men’s as well in 1997.

October 25, 1959 then Senator John F. Kennedy gave a speech here at the Egyptian Theatre in front of a packed house. A recording of this very speech has been found and will be played for the first time on the anniversary of his speech 57 years ago. Following the playing of his speech historian, Jim Gibbons, will present the life of our 35th President of the United States, John Fitzgerald Kennedy. Jim Gibbons, a Marengo, IL resident and historian, has made a name for himself teaching the importance of history. Using his passion for and strong knowledge of history, Jim offers riveting presentations on the historical events and figures.

Spherus lasts about 60 minutes, followed by a Q&A and discussion that explores the links between engineering and the world of juggling/performance.

The 18-hole "Poplar Creek" course at the Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club facility in Hoffman Estates, Illinois features 6,108 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70 . The course rating is 70.2 and it has a slope rating of 126 on Blue grass.
Highland Woods is located on the highest point in Cook County and is Forest Preserve Golf’s northwest suburban championship course. A challenging course, Highland Woods generous fairways are countered by 52 sand traps strategically placed throughout its rolling hills and tree-lined fairways.
