Rockin' in the Park
Rockin' in the Park is a summer-long concert series from May 24 - September 6 starting at 7:00pm. The festival features live bands, fireworks and food and beverage tents from the restaurants located within MB Park. The festival is located on the green lawn activity area in the center of the Park. There are picnic tables available, however we suggest bringing lawn chairs and blankets. Outside food and beverages, and coolers are prohibited. Lockport Old Canal Days
The 2015 Old Canal Days Festival will be held Thursday, June 18th through Sunday, June 21st in downtown Lockport. This family-friendly event starts Thursday when the carnival comes to town! (Carnival will be located in the South Public Landing Parking lot at 10th & Commerce.) Then, Friday evening, the Lincoln 10K Ride N Tie Race will officially kick off the event with the parade following. The main stage will be located at Central Square with a beer and wine tent and exceptional entertainment lined up throughout the entire weekend; and the craft show will run Saturday and Sunday between 6th Street and 8th Street on State. Also, there are numerous activities and exhibits scheduled at the Lincoln Landing as well as Heritage Village. Paramount Theatrical Production: West Side Story
It’s quite possibly one of the greatest love stories ever to be told in a musical. Set in the blue-collar neighborhood of New York’s Upper West Side, racial tensions run high as residents try to grind out a daily living. A turf war is being fought as the Jets, a white gang, and the Sharks, a Puerto Rican gang, battle over boundaries. In the heart of the turmoil, former Jets member Tony meets Maria at a local dance. The chemistry is instantaneous, and for a few hours, there is no race, no hatred, no barriers, just two young people in love. But Maria is the sister of Sharks’ leader Bernardo, and no one is going to make it easy for Tony and Maria to escape.

St. James at Sag Bridge
St. James at Sag Bridge is the Oldest Church in Northern Illinois. Built by Irish immigrants who built the canal. Sacred Heart Festival
It’s a full day of family fun, food and music celebrating the rich culture of Latin America, and it all benefits Aurora’s own Sacred Heart Parish. This year’s fest will feature tons of vendors offering traditional Hispanic items and clothes, endless authentic Latin-American food options and great games for the kids. When the afternoon rolls around, the RiverEdge Park stage fills with some of the area’s biggest and brightest Hispanic bands.
