Silver Creek and Stephenson Railroad and Silvercreek Museum Ice Cream Social
All aboard the antique steam train as a 35 ton 1912 Heisler steam locomotive pulls three cabooses, including an antique red caboose, and two passenger flatcars for a four mile ride through farmlands and across a bridge 30 feet above Yellow Creek. Puschase your ticket at the Silver Creek Depot, and browse for novelties in the Freight House. Visit the Silver Creek Museum which offers 25 rooms of early Americana, Henney Motor Company vehicles, which were manufactured in Freeport, and the operating Cooper-Corliss engine, a giant 130 ton steam engine. Lake Hill Winery
Lake Hill Winery was built, not only to be a winery, but to be a gathering place and have the ability to hold a wide variety of functions. Besides the wine production, there is a tasting room bar, a small gift shop, and two banquet rooms. The first is the barrel room, which holds 100 people. This room is typically booked for smaller events such as reunions, rehearsal dinners, showers, company parties, birthday parties, etc. The other banquet room is the main hall. With two levels, capacity for over 400 people, a 160" TV/projector, and two bars, this room is capable of accommodating almost any event.

42nd Annual Northern Illinois Art Show

All aboard as a 36-ton 1912 Heisler steam locomotive pulls three cabooses for a four-mile ride through farmlands. Purchase your ticket at the Silver Creek Depot, a turn-of-the-century replica filled with railroad artifacts, and browse the Freight House Gift Shop and Silvercreek Museum. The French Market is located on Park Boulevard, immediately west of Ardmore, by the gazebo. The French Market is accessible by the Prairie Path. Bensidoun USA, the market managers, bring vendors that sell goods that they have grown or manufactured. Residents and community groups are welcome every Sunday, May through October. The Bensidoun Group hopes to create the sense of community found in markets in France, providing community residents with a place to gather, socialize and purchase quality goods at reasonable prices.

Dixon Petunia Festival
Come to Dixon, the Petunia Capitol of Illinois, for the 49th annual celebration in the Hometown of President Ronald Reagan. Headline entertainment will be The Spin Doctors and a new family event will be the Brush, Bloom and Boom painting competition for all ages. In addition to a kids carnival every day, there will be fireworks on the 4th, a parade, 14th annual Reagan 5K run, the men’s garden club pancake breakfast, bags tournament, Elks Lodge poker tournament, Dixon Municipal Band concert, community worship service, a fishing derby and an art show.

Sleepy Creek Vineyards will provide a fire, hot dogs, and the fixings! Guests are welcome to bring additional food, but all alcoholic beverages must be purchased through the Vineyard. Drink options include wine, slushies, sangria, beer, soda and bottled water. Seating and service is first come, first serve with no reservations beginnging at 5:00 p.m. Guests may bring their own lawn chairs, and last call is 7:45 p.m. as Sleepy Creek will close at promptly 8:00 p.m.
