Autumn Pioneer Festival
Travel back to the 1800’s and learn about the lifestyles and crafts of the day. Watch a blacksmith working at his forge, talk to voyageurs, settlers and buckskinners. Explore a wigwam in the Native American area, visit two authentic 1800’s log cabins, a one room schoolhouse and 5 ethnic gardens. Enjoy the sights as you tour the grounds on a horse drawn wagon. Learn to throw a tomahawk, use a cross cut saw and play old time games. Listen to live music throughout the day. Sample apple butter and bean soup cooked over an open fire. Food vendor offerings include prairie chicken, pioneer fries, buffalo stew, pie and ice cream, doughnuts, popcorn, old fashioned root beer and lemonade. These are just a few of the many fun activities offered at the festival.
Autumn Festival - An Arts & Crafts Affair

Aurora's Holiday Festival of Lights
Enjoy the sparkle, shimmer and shine of the 2014 Festival of Lights. One of the largest free outdoor holiday light displays in Northern Illinois. Dazzling displays that will delight both adults and children. A winter wonderland of animated visual arts, lighted tunnels, a forest full of lights and more! Open from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday to Thursday; and 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday starting Nov. 28 through Dec. 28, 2014. Donations accepted.

Art on Harrison
Seeking a way to announce the emerging Arts District, galleries and building owners in partnership with the Oak Park Arts Council inaugurated Art on Harrison in 1995. Conceived of as an informal Friday evening gallery walk, the event has continued each September since its inception, expanding to include entertainment and performances at participating galleries. Come out and see what the area has to offer in a convivial atmosphere, a celebration of what the creative spirits of this community have accomplished.

The vibrant colors of autumn provide the perfect canvas to paint a relaxing weekend filled with fine art, mouthwatering food and superb entertainment. Lindendale Park offers a tranquil setting where nearly 70 professional artists display their works of fine art. Festival attendees can shop for works of art in twelve categories. Children, too, can shop for just $5.00 at a special art gallery of work donated by the artists.

Apple and Pork Festival
Since 1968, the Apple N' Pork Festival with its delightful aroma of smoked ham and spicy apple butter, has ushered in autumn for Dewitt County. From its beginning as a modest event, centered around a kettle of soup and stack of sandwiches, the festival has grown to one of the state's favorite fall festivals. Wear comfortable shoes and stroll through booths offering foods, crafts, antiques, entertainment, and more! Be sure to tour the museum. Plan to spend the day! Annual Scarecrow Festival
Ottawa presents the 27th Annual Scarecrow Festival! Bring the kids for free buckboard rides, face painting and a petting zoo! 3rd Annual Kayak Tour & Beach Camp Out
Come on down and camp out with on the sandy wooded beaches of the Illinois River. Primitive only camping at its best right between the I & M Canal and the Illinois River! No noisy RV's to listen to and better yet, there will be fireworks across from the campground area. At 7:30pm guests will be guided over to the state park where there will be a venetian boat parade guided kayak tour and then raft up and watch the fireworks show!
31st Annual Harvest of Talents
On the 4th Saturday of October, HARVEST DAY begins with doors opening promptly at 7 a.m. at Lincoln Christian Church, in Lincoln, IL, with homemade cinnamon and pecan rolls. Carry-outs available. Freshly made vegetable soup cooked in outdoor kettles, homemade pie & bread, lots of tasty snacks and beverages in outdoor tent booths, and handmade items of all kinds (for pets, gardens, Christmas, home decor, shabby chic, quilted, babies, baked goods, jams/jellies, fresh produce, gift baskets, etc.) are sold 7 a.m. til 1 p.m. or til the exciting live auction begins at 2 p.m. There’s something for everyone, inc. live entertainment, souvenir photo booth, hand-lettered pressed-flower bookmarks, craft projects & mission classes for children, silent auctions, Harvest logo wear & souvenirs, monitored coat check room, I.D.E.S. information table, and Harvest Ministry Welcome area. A highlight is the live auction in the afternoon of many unique items, such as original design hand sewn quilts, handcrafted furniture, fine needlework, framed photography and artwork, jewelry, pottery, items from the mission field, refurbished antiques, re-purposed items, and other treasures.

More than 1,000 cool cars will roll into the heart of Springfield's historic downtown this September. Enjoy music, entertainment, great food and a great time, as well as visit some of the nation's most popular automotive aftermarket vendors. It's a wonderful event for the whole family!
12th Annual Wabash Valley Wine and Art Festival
Festival goers will be able to sample wines from approximately a dozen wineries as they stroll among the various artists booths. There will be artwork on display and for sale, live entertainment and food booths. Sat 11:30-6:30 & Sun Noon-5pm.
12th Annual Spores N More Mushroom Festival
Come and enjoy the thrill of the hunt for the elusive morel mushroom or come and bid at the auction. Friday night kicks off the event with a welcome dinner, reception and speaker in Windsor. Saturday morning, come and join the hunt for a fee. If you like morels but not the hunt, come to the auction and bid for your winning batch. The 2015 hunt and auction will be based out of Shelbyville's Forest Park.
"Gourd"geous Day in the Country
Enjoy a "Gourd"geous day in the country at the 6th Annual Gourd Festival. The Gourd Festival is day of fun for the entire family. For the children there are gourd games, make it and take it crafts, face painting and puppet shows at no charge. For the adults, Gourd Patch member will be selling their gourd art, jewelry, home decor and supplies. There will be demonstrations on gourd carving, collages, and a Q&A all about gourds. Bring your camera and your walking shoes.
