Highland Park Golf Course
Built in the 1930's, this golf course offers old, mature trees lining each fairway on the 5,539 yard course. In addition to the narrow fairways, small greens make for a challenging round. USGA Course Ratings and Slope Ratings are 66.9 and 111, respectively. A hilly terrain with a beautiful creek meandering through the course make this a very scenic golf course. Historic Normal Theater
Located in Uptown Normal, the Normal Theater originally opened in 1937 and was the first movie theater in Bloomington-Normal built specifically for sound films. An Art Deco showplace built with streamline design, the Normal Theater has been completely restored to its original condition. It now operates as a film center, showing classic films on the big screen as well as independent and world cinema titles. In addition, the theater is used for a wide variety of non-film events and is available for rentals where assembly seating is required.

This course features a challenging, tree-lined layout with two sets of tees. The practice facilities include an oversized putting green with a side bunker and a full length driving range. Outings, playdays and banquets are welcome but must be scheduled in advance.

The Ironwood Golf Course is the Town's full service golf facility with 18 holes, 7,100 yards and a par 72 championship layout playing from 5400-7100 yards with four sets of tees. Ironwood was designed by highly regarded golf course designer Roger Packard and meanders through the Ironwood residential subdivision. ISU Center For The Performing Arts
The Center for the Performing Arts provides the Illinois State University campus and greater Central Illinois community with a wide variety of cultural activities. IWU McPherson Theatre
The Illinois Wesleyan University School of Theatre Arts houses extraordinary talent within its facilities at the McPherson Theatre. Four main stage plays are performed here annually, selected from a playbill including everything from Shakespeare to musicals. McPherson Hall, completed in 1963, is named for IWU's 10th President, Harry W. McPherson, and contains a 300-seat theatre, scene shop, classrooms and other facilities. Miller Park Zoo
Opened in the late 1800's, this city zoo began to house exotic animals after a traveling circus left behind a lion cub. Located on Historic Route 66 the zoo became a popular attraction among travelers. It is also the only Illinois zoo to feature the endangered Sumatran tiger. They offer many exhibits and zookeeper interaction opportunities that are enjoyed by the whole family. Some highlights include: sun bear, reindeer, Harbor Seals, red pandas, lemurs, Galapagos Tortoise, Bald Eagles, Pallas' Cat, Snow Leopards, gibbons, and Red Wolves. Moraine View State Park Campground
Moraine View State Park offers 137 Class A trailer campsites with electricity and a sanitary station. Water is available in several locations in the campground. 102 sites can now be reserved in Gander Bay campground. A boat launch and dock is also situated in this area. Alcohol is prohibited in all campgrounds. The shower buildings are closed by November 1st (may be earlier if bad weather) and reopen May 1st (may be earlier - weather depending). Catfish Bay camp area and Tall Timber backpack trail provide 32 primitive class D sites. Timber Ridge group camp has 3 sites. Timberline Ridge horse camp has 30 Class "A" campsites complete with water, electricity, and hitching racks. Ol' Orchard group camp is currently closed.

Prairie Aviation Museum has displays, static aircraft, education programs, air shows, group tours, and special aviation events for over 30 years. As an aviation and space museum, we honor military and civilian aviation. While visitors are quick to notice our displays, we love to tell the stories of the men and women who have contributed to the creation, development, expansion, and promise of aviation and space exploration. We are a family friendly museum, where visitors of all ages can touch our displays and static aircraft and visit with members who flew and maintained the aircraft in the Air Park. Ronald Reagan Museum and Peace Garden
Housed in the Donald B. Cerf Center at Eureka College, the museum collection numbers over 10,000 items from President Reagan's Eureka College student days, his movie and TV career, his governorship of California and two terms as president of the United States. The Reagan Peace Garden located on the historic campus includes a bust of the 40th president and a section of the Berlin Wall.

The Ropp Jersey Cheese processing facility in north Normal is owned and operated by a family of 6th generation McLean County dairy farmers. Slagel Family farm is a 6th generation farm in central Illinois. Re-connect with the land and watch the livestock roaming the pastures in the wide-open skies outside the city. As more and more people have the desire to learn more about their food and where it comes from, a farm tour and dinner would be an excellent way to bring you closer to your food. Tours, which run from spring to fall, are a full afternoon of learning and enjoying food. Each farm tour/dinner will be paired with one or more well-known chefs from Chicago. Guests will have the opportunity to ask questions, hold baby piglets, gather fresh eggs, and interact with playful goats and lambs. Following the tour, you will head back to the barn and enjoy a four-course meal prepared using products raised within feet of where we are sitting.
