Presented by the McLean County Arts Center, one of the oldest community arts organizations in the Midwest. Held at Illinois State University’s Brown Ballroom, The Spring Bloom Arts Festival is a juried show of fine art and fine craft featuring 70 exhibitors from across the nation.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade - Rock Island
The Quad Cities Grand Parade travels through downtown Rock Island, Illinois, and features bands, Irish dancers, floats, groups and family clans. The annual parade, organized by the St. Patrick Society of the Quad Cities, starts at 11:30 a.m.
Union Dairy Family Day
After the Dairy Days Parade, enjoy this free family day with a bounce house, pony rides, a petting zoo and face painting. All at the Union Dairy in Freeport from 1pm to 5pm.

Sock Monkey Madness Festival: "Safari Adventure!" - Midway Village Museum
Bring your monkey back to where it all began at the Sock Monkey Madness Festival in Rockford, Illinois! This year's theme is Safari Adventure as we explore sock monkeys in their natural habitat. Activities Include: Make A Monkey workshop, take a photo with world famous jungle explorer Nelson, the world's largest sock monkey at 7 feet tall, several safari-themed games and crafts throughout the museum for children of all ages, sales vendors with all things Sock Monkey, including clothing and accessories for you and your monkey, toys, games, collectibles, and more. New in 2016: Rockford Dance Company will perform the Dance of the Sock Monkeys!
Chautauqua Days Celebration
Days of old come together for this festival brought back after many years. This festival showcases the historical Chautauqua auditorium, the centerpiece of Forest Park. There will be live entertainment from the Ozarks, local musicians, craft vendors, food, and more.
Herrick Lions Club 4th of July Celebration
Independence Day Celebration with a flag ceremony to kick things off. There are bands, entertainment, a parade, raffle , free carnival, and fireworks.

The Second Annual Spring Festival of Fine Craft at Oakbrook Center will showcase the work of about 70 juried artists from across the country, featuring painting, photography and fine crafts including ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, and wood. Clinton MayDays Festival

Rockford Meltfest 2016
The first Saturday in spring, join in the celebration of the melting away of winter and the melting together of the community in this third annual fun family festival. Many of the popular items from 2015 will return, including live music, 5K run/walk, kids fun run, group bike ride, indoor venue, market vendors, kids activities, ice skating, and trolley rides (weather permitting).
Bunny Breakfast and Egg Hunt
Join the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department and Senior Services for this fun family event! Families will eat a hot breakfast with the Easter Bunny, create crafts, play games, and then, at 9:00 am, hunt for Easter Eggs! The Egg Hunt will be held outside, so please dress appropriately. The cost is $5 a person and includes breakfast, activities, and the egg hunt. All ages are required to register. 25th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade & Festival
Line-up 12:30 p.m. at Lemont Safety Village. Parade starts promptly at 1:00 p.m. Route: South on Stephen to Main, West to VFW Hall. Plenty of parking at the Metra Lot. Featuring: Lemont's own Irish Queen, The Chicago Stockyard Kilty Band and Hughes Academy of Irish Dance. Bring your family and friends and join the parade! Visit the VFW Hall, 15780 New Avenue following the parade for refreshments and entertainment.
Skokie Festival of Cultures
Since its inception in 1991, the Skokie Festival of Cultures has become one of the premier ethnic festivals in Illinois, attracting more than 450,000 visitors and dozens of cultures, all representing Skokie's tremendous diversity. Attendees will take their free 'Tour of the World,' enjoying two days of ethnic folk music and dance, a wide range of food, unique arts and crafts, beer tasting, a merchandise bazaar, and dozens of cultural booths and displays.
