What started as a retail shop in the small farm town of Homer, has expanded into a national wholesale soda distributor. Shop hundreds of flavors of soda in this adorable little shop located on Homer's main drag. Pick up anything from the classic orange soda to bacon and cherry infused, so you get as creative as you like. While you'll see these sodas at restaurants and shops all over town, there's nothing better than picking these up right from the distributor.

Lake Hill Winery
Lake Hill Winery was built, not only to be a winery, but to be a gathering place and have the ability to hold a wide variety of functions. Besides the wine production, there is a tasting room bar, a small gift shop, and two banquet rooms. The first is the barrel room, which holds 100 people. This room is typically booked for smaller events such as reunions, rehearsal dinners, showers, company parties, birthday parties, etc. The other banquet room is the main hall. With two levels, capacity for over 400 people, a 160" TV/projector, and two bars, this room is capable of accommodating almost any event.

Mennonite Relief Sale
This two day auction features locally handcrafted furniture, quilts, and other handmade items. There will also be a children's auction and train ride. The Midwest Wizard of Oz Festival has been a long standing tradition began in 1982 when Wizard of Oz store owner, Jean Nelson, came up with the idea to create an Oz-themed festival. Since then it has grown to be one of the biggest festivals in the nation that produced crowds of about 30,000 people each year. This year, for the first time ever, the Midwest Wizard of Oz Festival has been moved to the Chicago Southland area in Tinley Park, Illinois.
Monarch Butterfly Festival

Mt. Sterling Fall Festival
If you love festival food, you can feast your way through the many food vendors. There are numerous activities planned like the snake dance and bonfire, block party, Little Mr. and Miss and baby contest, talent show, car show and cruise night, chain saw carving demonstration, bake off, children’s games, entertainment, over 20 craft/merchandise vendors, and a church service.
Mt. Vernon Fall Festival
This three day October festival in downtown Mt. Vernon includes a beer tent with live entertainment, parade, children's area, food, fun, car show, band competition, pumpkin competition, carnival, pet parade and so much more!
Mt. Vernon Market
Mt. Vernon Market is located at the former armory building in downtown Mt. Vernon and features farmers markets, flea markets, vendor fairs, trade shows, entertainment, and other events throughout the year.
Murphysboro Apple Festival
The Murphysboro Apple Festival is the oldest and largest, alcohol-free festival in Southern Illinois. Over 45,000 people attend the festival each year. During the five days of the Apple Festival, there are numerous activities drawing large crowds such as evening stage shows, carnival/concessions, Queen Contest, Prince and Princess Contest, contests from apple pie eating to apple core throwing, firefighters' water fights, marching band competition, car shows, Appletime 5K Walk/Run and much more. In addition, the festival's Grand Parade is one of the largest parade in Southern Illinois. The parade features an average of about 160 total units, 25 of those marching bands, and a variety of groups and organizations.
Music at the Backdoor Lounge - Starved Rock
There's no better way to relax on a Friday night than with great, live music in the Back Door Lounge. Talented local performers bring a variety of rock and country favorites (mixed with a few original songs) each week. Come early for dinner at Elements! Naper Settlement Oktoberfest
Be part of an annual autumn event that celebrates our community’s heritage. Under our large heated tent, enjoy live musical entertainment ranging from classic German Oompa music to classic rock, along with German beer and cuisine. Family-friendly activities will be available on Saturday from noon-5 p.m. The entrance to the festival will be through the Pre-Emption House Visitor Center. Parking is available in the Municipal Parking Garage on the corner of Eagle and Aurora and in the Naper Settlement visitor's lot on Porter Avenue and Webster Street. All proceeds benefit the Naperville Heritage Society.
NASCAR Tripleheader Chase Weekend
The Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Starts Here for the 5th consecutive year! The weekend kicks off Friday night with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Then the NASCAR XFINITY Series takes to the track for the second time of the season. Finally, it all leads up to the start of NASCAR’s playoffs with the MyAFibStory.com 400 on Sunday!
