At Flesor's Candy Kitchen we're just happy that warm weather prompts folks traveling up and down Interstate 57 or Route 36 to take the Tuscola, Illinois exit, stop at our great Tanger outlet mall, and then navigate a tiny bit more to our little downtown where they discover the treasure that is our store. We are also thrilled to welcome tourists to our region who have come to explore Amish Country and include in their itinerary a look at a couple of non-Amish, ½ Greek sisters who make candy the old-fashioned way, too. During summer, people flock to our hundred-year-old soda fountain (homemade ice-cream!) and are delighted that we serve good food for lunch every day from 11:00 to 3:00. We also welcome buses, and crazy Devon is almost always on hand to stand on a chair to give her “speech” about the store's history and offer big groups a tour of the candy room.
Riverbend Retreat is a fully renovated 1919 bungalow farmstead surrounded by the Embarras (Embraw) river valley, pasture and farmland. The house is divided into two suites, one on each floor. It features original wood floors on the first floor, mission light fixtures and furniture, and free use of the washer/dryer and foosball table in the basement. Outside features include picnic tables, a grill, two campfire circles, outdoor lighting (60 amber bulbs) and a riverfront lawn. Wedding, reunion or other big get together coming up? Put up the family at Riverbend Retreat, cook some of your own meals and have a great time!
Douglas County Museum
The award-winning museum features short-term exhibits about a wide range of topics pertinent to the history of Douglas County and East Central Illinois. The museum’s collections include clothing and textiles, military and medical equipment, decorative arts, archives and more! Plus, it’s also host to the Rural Life Antique Show held in March and November of each year.
Vintage Karma opened in downtown Tuscola in 2012 to offer handmade goods, funky antiques, unique jewelry and local art. Many of the creations are repurposed items, giving new life to discarded things and turning them into one-of-a-kind works of art.

Windsor Harvest Picnic
Come and enjoy this family-friendly festival which is in its 118th year. Entertainment comes to you in gospel, country and rock. This year's entertainment includes The Battlecreek Band, David Frizzell and Lorrie Morgan. Fountain City Amusements provides a carnival atmosphere with plenty of food as well as the Ice Cream Social. There is also a 5K run/walk, a pedal tractor pull, parade, and a raffle drawing. This year for one show only is Country Legend Marty Stuart.
The Tower of Baa-Goat
The one and only goat tower in the U.S. It is modeled after a tower that Dave and Marcia Johnson saw in a wine magazine from S. Africa. The original goat tower was in Portugal. The Johnston's tower is 31 foot tall and has 5,000 bricks with 276 spiral steps that encompass the tower.
Wolf Creek State Park
Eight miles northwest of Windsor, Wolf Creek State Park encompass 11,100 acres of water, 250 miles of shoreline and large tracts of carefully maintained indigenous woodlands ideal for camping, horseback riding, snowmobiling, boat fishing, water skiing, pontoon boating, windsurfing or just plain bobbing and drifting on the glittering expanse of the lake itself. In addition to visiting the small, friendly wooded campgrounds or taking part in the action on the lake, swimming is available from the beach. You can also take a leisurely stroll through nearby forests. An abundance of deer, pheasant, rabbits, wild turkey and songbirds are almost always visible.
