Lake Shelbyville has 5 federal campgrounds, and 2 state campgrounds with over 1,000 campsites from tent camping up to full hookup. There are several recreational areas with picnic areas and pavilions and 2 wildlife management areas. Three public beaches are available for swimming on the lake. The lake also hosts many launching ramps that are available for boats, and 3 marinas on the lake. Many hiking trails also encompass the lake such as the General Dacey which also includes fitness stations, the Chief Illini trail and others.
Boarman Chevy BelAir Museum
This museum openin in 2005 with Bob's private collection. The building is decorated in 50's sock hop style with black and white checkered floors. The walls are lined with 50's memorabilia, chevy clocks and neon signs. A jukbox takes you back to that popular era. The museum has eight vintage cars as well as a 1993 Indy Pace Car with only 28 miles. Mr. Boarman restored most of the cars himself and has been collecting over 25 years.
General Dacey Trail
This trail is a multi-use recreational trail -- accessed mainly by walkers, runners, and bikers. As you move along the pathways of the Dacey Trail, you will find nature at its best with many scenic views of Lake Shelbyville. A fitness area is between the Dam West Recreational area and the Dam. The trail is being added to and improved each year. You can begin the trail at Forest Park or at the Dam West Recreational Area (9th St.).
Built in 1903, the auditorium is the largest building of its kind from anywhere in the world, and is included on the National Register of Historic Places. Above the stage are Grecian statues designed by Robert Root.

At Flesor's Candy Kitchen we're just happy that warm weather prompts folks traveling up and down Interstate 57 or Route 36 to take the Tuscola, Illinois exit, stop at our great Tanger outlet mall, and then navigate a tiny bit more to our little downtown where they discover the treasure that is our store. We are also thrilled to welcome tourists to our region who have come to explore Amish Country and include in their itinerary a look at a couple of non-Amish, ½ Greek sisters who make candy the old-fashioned way, too. During summer, people flock to our hundred-year-old soda fountain (homemade ice-cream!) and are delighted that we serve good food for lunch every day from 11:00 to 3:00. We also welcome buses, and crazy Devon is almost always on hand to stand on a chair to give her “speech” about the store's history and offer big groups a tour of the candy room.
Riverbend Retreat is a fully renovated 1919 bungalow farmstead surrounded by the Embarras (Embraw) river valley, pasture and farmland. The house is divided into two suites, one on each floor. It features original wood floors on the first floor, mission light fixtures and furniture, and free use of the washer/dryer and foosball table in the basement. Outside features include picnic tables, a grill, two campfire circles, outdoor lighting (60 amber bulbs) and a riverfront lawn. Wedding, reunion or other big get together coming up? The one and only goat tower in the U.S. It is modeled after a tower that Dave and Marcia Johnson saw in a wine magazine from S. Africa. The original goat tower was in Portugal. The Johnston's tower is 31 foot tall and has 5,000 bricks with 276 spiral steps that encompass the tower.
Wolf Creek State Park
Eight miles northwest of Windsor, Wolf Creek State Park encompass 11,100 acres of water, 250 miles of shoreline and large tracts of carefully maintained indigenous woodlands ideal for camping, horseback riding, snowmobiling, boat fishing, water skiing, pontoon boating, windsurfing or just plain bobbing and drifting on the glittering expanse of the lake itself. In addition to visiting the small, friendly wooded campgrounds or taking part in the action on the lake, swimming is available from the beach. You can also take a leisurely stroll through nearby forests. An abundance of deer, pheasant, rabbits, wild turkey and songbirds are almost always visible.
