Deer Grove Forest Preserve
Located in Palatine, IL, Deer Grove Forest Preserve has trails that offer a moderate level of difficulty. At almost 10 miles in length, the hiking trials make Deer Grove worth a visit. Split into two very individual sites connected by paved and unpaved trials, the east preserve features open wetlands surrounded by old fields and an in-progress savanna and prairie restoration. The west side is wilder, the forest denser and crisscrossed with footpaths along the rolling terrain. Quite woodlands, white-tailed deer and a completely different experience await the hiker on the west side. Both paths are equally enchanting.

Backdraft - Chinatown Fire Station
This action film centers on two feuding firefighter brothers who battle Chicago blazes and an arsonist on the loose. Many of the extras used in the movie were actual Chicago firefighters. Much of the filming took place at the Chinatown Fire Station, located right across the street from the ornamental gateway to Wentworth Avenue, Chinatown's main drag that's filled with shops and restaurants.

Max & Benny's Restaurant Deli and Bakery
Max and Benny's is an iconic north suburban deli-restaurant recently described by Chicago Magazine as the "best Jewish deli in the Chicagoland area." Specialties include corned beef, pastrami and Rueben sandwiches.
The state-of-the-art Argus Brewery is located in Chicago on the second floor of the Joseph E. Schlitz distribution stables at 113th and Front Avenue, which was built in the early 1900’s. Two large terra cotta horse heads on the parapet still identify this unusual building that once housed the Schlitz horse teams and carriages. To create truly remarkable beers, the brewers relied on their family’s more than 100 years experience in the food and beverage industry as food technologists and chemical engineers.
