Phone Booth on Lincoln City Hall
Built in 1895, the red brick for the building came from the Lincoln Coal Company. A unique telephone booth on the roof was added later and was used by weather spotters to phone in sighted storms. Lincoln City Hall anchors the downtown National Historic Registered District and is one of the city's most visible symbols.

Creekside Outdoor Center for Environmental Education
Located along Sugar Creek, about five miles north of Lincoln, Creekside the Outdoor Center for Environmental Education will be an experiential outdoor classroom featuring an outdoor teaching pavilion, insectarium, greenhouse, and a restored prairie. It will include parking space, bioswales, rain gardens, and boardwalks and sidewalks to make the site handicapped-accessible. When complete it will be powered by solar panels and a wind generator.

Lincoln Theater 4
Built in 1922, the theater built by Steve Bennis opened in 1923 showing "John Quincy Adams Sawyer." It was originally a single screen featuring an organ and live stage shows as well. The number of screens was doubled in 1985 and then again in the mid nineties. Downtown Lincoln is a great place to grab dinner and a movie while exploring the Mother Road.

Central Illinois Jazz Festival
Put on by Decatur’s Juvae Jazz Society, this annual celebration of all types of jazz is held at the Decatur Conference Center & Hotel. Hundreds of folks come from all around the Midwest to spend the weekend partying, dancing, parading and listening to great jazz musicians with their friends. Book early as the festival fills up fast! The three day, multiple venue festival features world class musicians under one roof. Includes lots of events such as New Orleans style Umbrella Parade, Pianorama, Banjorama, Late Night Jam Session, and Sunday Jazz Brunch. Bands plus special guest performers from East and West Coast and points in between play your favorite music style - Chicago, New Orleans, Swing, Ragtime and Boogie Woogie Piano.

Vespers at the Kirkland Fine Arts Center

Pasta Alley is a small business which employs adults with developmental disabilities in Decatur, IL. As many as 25 individuals currently help with the production process including the mixing, packaging, and labeling of our unique and flavorful pastas, soups, breads, and sauces. We carry 20 flavors of fettuccine and linguine: garlic and herb, sun-dried tomato basil, habanero, spinach, lemon pepper, sweet basil champagne, and many more. We carry five flavors of angel hair, four flavors of whole wheat, seven flavors of glutenfree, ten different sauce flavors, 15 different soups and breads, and eight different dipping oils
