String Theory at Ravinia
The luminaries that inform Ravinia’s Steans Music Institute piano and strings program, from world-renowned violinists Miriam Fried and Midori to pianist (and former fellow) Alon Goldstein, are well versed in every permutation of string chamber music. Mozart left an indelible mark when he created his First Quintet, K. 174—the addition of a second viola became a standard for centuries to come. Tickets are $40-$60 for reserved seats and $10 for lawn seats.
