Plans are in motion for the first Legions of Craft Beer. This event will include at least 30 beer vendors, Gurnee restaurants, food trucks and a wide range of bands. The Annual Prairie Day is a celebration of the prairie environment held in conjunction with National Prairie Week at Goose Lake Prairie State Natural Area. Public tours of the Laurent House, Frank Lloyd Wright's "Little Gem," are held on the first full and third weekends of the month. Frank Lloyd Wright's Laurent House in Rockford, Illinois is the only building ever designed by the famed architect for a person with a disability. Ride Like An Egyptian
Join us for a fun and enjoyable bike ride through DeKalb and Kane Counties and support the historic Egyptian Theatre on Satruday, August 22nd. Since the ride starts and ends at the Egyptian Theatre, you will have the opportunity to explore this historic landmark. This bike ride offers four mix-n-match 25-mile loops. All participants will be provided with route maps and all routes will be marked with signs. There will be great SAG support on all loops and a well-stocked central rest stop. Bike at your own speed, this is not a race. All ages are welcome, however, those under the age of 16 must ride with a participating parent or guardian. There will be an end-of-ride meal provided for registered riders. Meal will feature soup, sandwiches, and refreshments.

2015 Summer Rooftop Music Series - Train Company
Train Company plays killer, teeth-kicking blues-rock. Since forming in 2008, John Zozzaro (guitar/vocals), Mark Alletag (saxophone), Mike DeWitte (bass/vocals), Rob Lejman (drums) and Sam Wyatt (keys) have explored a sound that has included everything from jazzy pop to bourbon-soaked rock 'n roll. Train Company’s success continues through constant gigging, including two recent sold out shows at Chicago's House of Blues alongside Counting Crows and Blues Traveler. Crowds can expect sweaty, high energy shows with no two alike! This summer, a different live performance is featured each month on the Joliet Area Historical Museum's Outdoor Rooftop Terrace!
