The Game Arena
This 64,000-sq.-ft. indoor soccer facility is billed as a "pro venue for the amateur athlete," with two regulation fields that can be converted to four mini fields. The venue also supports a variety of other events, including football, field hockey, baseball training, boxing, wrestling, martial arts, tumbling/gymnastics and dog shows. The Great Godfrey Triathlon
The Village of Godfrey will host its second annual Great Godfrey Triathlon in the end of August 2016. All athletes are encouraged to participate in this swimming, biking, and running competition. The course will consist of a open swim in the pond at Glazebrook Park, a 14 mile bike race through picturesque Godfrey and a 5K trail run. Early race packet pick up will be available on Friday, August 26 from 3 - 4:30 pm at the Godfrey Village Hall. Packets will also be available for pick up on the day of the race beginning at 5:30 am onsite. Awards will be handed out for the top three male and female finishers in each age division in addition to the top overall male and female finishers. The Great Godfrey Triathlon is participating in the muniTri series in association with Fleet Feet. Entry fee includes a souvenir t-shirt and complimentary lunch. The Nature Institute
The Nature Institute is a non-profit land conservation and environmental education organization based in Godfrey, IL. Since its founding in 1980, The Nature Institute's board and staff have worked to foster an awareness and appreciation of the natural world through preservation, restoration, and education. The Nature Institute also owns and manages over 450 acres of protected land, such as the Olin Nature Preserve, the Mississippi Sanctuary, the Kemp and Cora Hutchinson Bird Sanctuary, and the Heartland Prairie Project at Gordon Moore Park. These natural areas provide unique places for the public to experience the diversity of the Riverbend area with its hardwood forests, prairies and wetlands. The preserves are open to the public and free to use from dawn to dusk.

TreeHouse Wildlife Center is a non-profit wildlife rehabilitation center dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of native injured and orphaned wildlife. Located on approximately eight serene and beautiful acres, it's the ideal environment for injured or orphaned animals who need time to recuperate. Visitors are welcome to come out for a self guided tour of the outdoor cages at our Dow facility. Guided tours also available. We are open from 10am - 3pm everday.
Tri City Port District
This site is on the Granite City Canal, near the Lock and Dam on the Mississippi River. Tri City Port is a duty-free foreign port, as well as a loading facility for farm and other products being barged on the river.
Regular racing events, including UMP Late Models, UMP Modifies, Sportsman, Street Stocks and Factory Stocks, are held on the 1/4-mile oval. Special events like the World of Outlaw Sprint Cars are raced on the 1/2-mile track.
Tri-County Olden Days
Come out and enjoy a family oriented event that has something for everyone in Dow, Illinois! A steam, gas and threshing show will feature antique tractors, engines and heritage demonstrations, along with an antique tractor pull. There will be live entertainment both days, with Cowboy Church on Sunday. Shop the large craft & flea market and enjoy lots of good "old-fashioned" food. Admission is $5 per person. Children 12 and under are free.
Just miles off I-55, I-70, and I-270, the park has easy access and has many features for travelers, like a petting zoo, playground equipment, picnic pavilions and a small lake.
U.S. Ice Arena
This ice arena features two NHL rinks, a snack bar, pro shop and meeting rooms.
U.S. Ice Sports Complex L.C.
An ice arena offering hockey leagues open skate and entertainment for all ages. The facility offers two rinks, a game room and concession area.
Underground Railroad Shuttle Tours
Learn about local Underground Railroad sites on a shuttle tour with J.E. Robinson Tours and the Alton Regional CVB. These two-hour guided shuttle tours will stop at some of the sites that were part of the Underground Railroad system including the Old Rock House, Rocky Fork Church and more. Alton’s riverfront location along the Mighty Mississippi played a vital role in helping slaves make connections to the freedom of the northern states. Buried beneath the streets of Alton and Godfrey, remnants of this period in history still exist. US Ice Sports Complex
This rink features two NHL-sized sheets of ice, concessions and a fully stocked pro shop. US Ice Sports Complex is home to various youth and adult hockey leagues, high school and college club teams, and figure skating events.
