The first annual all-age family 2016 "Viva Cinco De Mayo Festival" is coming to Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL. This four-day outdoor event features plenty of live music, food, arts & crafts, huge carnival, activities for families and children, and much more! Viva Cinco De Mayo Festival celebrates Hispanic families and community with a joyous flair and a continuous stream of live music on two stages. Bands from all over the country perform various styles including traditional and contemporary Mexican music, along with classic rock.

2016 STIHL Timbersports U.S. Pro and Collegiate Championships
The STIHL Timbersports® Series assembles the world's top lumberjack athletes to compete in the Original Extreme Sport. The Series is seen by millions viewers annually in over 62 countries around the world on networks like ABC, Eurosport, and ESPN, where it is now recognized as the second longest running show behind only 'SportsCenter'. Athletes compete in a variety of disciplines based on traditional logging skills to determine the best all-around lumberjack. Disciplines include Hot Saw, Single Buck, Springboard Chop, Standing Block Chop, Stock Saw and Underhand Chop. Schedule: July 15 1PM-5PM, 7PM-10PM; July 16 5PM-9PM.

Relax in a friendly atmosphere while listening to music from local musicians. Diverse offerings of produce, baked goods and restaurants booths providing their specialties. Locally grown, organic produce, to fresh baked goods! The appraised chef, Dominique Tougne from La Voute Bistro + Bar, has been known to make his rounds through the Homewood market. Sa 8AM-1PM.

A day that rail enthusiasts of all ages will enjoy all things trains! Homewood has always embraced its rich rail history. Trains have always made their way through Homewood. Whether it was historic Illinois Central, Amtrak, Metra, or Canadian National, all had a story to tell that resonates with rail enthusiasts. Families will be able to explore the intricate train layouts for all ages to enjoy. Kids will have fun participating in train crafts, decoding Hobo symbols, and story time with Homewood's favorite train conductor. Rail fans will have the opportunity to meet with vendors to purchase one-of-a-kind collections of antique trains, model trains, train memorabilia, and items associated with model railways. 9AM-3PM.

Midwest SOARRING Foundation's Native American Cultural Center
Midwest SOARRING (Save Our Ancestors Remains & Resources Indigenous Network Group) Foundation was formed in November of 1996. They are a Native American non-profit organization who assists with repatriation, protection of sacred sites and educates the public about Native American culture, through Pow Wows, cultural programs and environmental issues. The new Cultural Center is made possible by a lease obtained through the City of Lockport.
Chicago Southland Dragon Boat Festival
The dragons are coming to Blue Island for the inaugural Chicago Southland Dragon Boat Festival. Watch these long 20-seat boats with a dragon decoration on the outside mimic the old war canoes of ancient Asian past. This ancient Chinese sport has become one of the fierce competitions throughout the world, and is growing rapidly in the Southeastern and Midwestern United States. 9AM-3PM.
