Screenings October 28 to November 8, 2015, will take place in Chicago at the famed Music Box Theatre and AMC River East, and in the northern suburb of Northbrook IL, at the AMC Northbrook Court. We will also hold two additional screenings at the Marcus Theatre in Chicago Heights on November 15. Showcased, with occasional mini-retrospectives, are Israel’s most current, internationally award-winning feature films, documentaries, shorts and TV shows of the previous 12 months, with guest appearances by Israeli film stars, filmmakers, film scholars, film critics and other film experts to add context and increase the educational and entertainment value of the film-going experience.

Spring Awakening at the Marriott Theatre
Spring Awakening is a rock musical with music by Duncan Sheik and a book and lyrics by Steven Sater. It is based on the German play Spring Awakening (1891) by Frank Wedekind. Set in late-19th century Germany, the musical tells the story of teenagers discovering the inner and outer tumult of teenage sexuality. In the musical, alternative rock is employed as part of the folk-infused rock score.
