Bluegill Music Festival
March 16, 2015 - Bluegill Music Festival will lunch its inaugural event on July 4, 2015 for a one-day festival packed with some of country music's hottest acts. The all-day festival will be complete with Southern Illinois' largest fireworks display, along the shores of the Rend Lake Dam, in Benton, IL. The lineup includes Eli Young Band, LoCash, Clayton Anderson and more exciting acts to be announced. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, March 20th and can be purchased at www.bluegillfest.com and at Black Diamond Harley Davidson. Drawing fans from around the country, including Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana, the festival is at the intersection of some of the nation's most dedicated country music fans. Bluegill Music Festival will feature nationally recognized BBQ vendors from around the country. Interactive entertainment for fans will also include activations, like: bags, washers, bubble soccer, Illinois longest slip n' slide, helicopter rides from Black Diamond Harley Davidson, a mechanical bull, a kids area with a large inflatable slide and the "Bluegill Lagoon", featuring a 60 x 100' VIP beach, with cabanas, private wading pools & lounge area. Additionally, Southern Illinois' largest fireworks display will begin at 9:30pm, and is free for all guest.

Naperville Park District Canine Dog-Disc Championships
Bring your dog and compete in this unique event sponsored by the Windy City K-9 Disc Club. No experience is required. All dogs must be on leashes and immunizations must be current. Guided Kayak Tour
People join the kayak tours as an alternate fitness activity, an alternate social activity and to learn about nature/kayaking - to learn about a new area. If you have never kayaked before try the guided tour also. They are a great way to informally introduce you to the sport of kayaking. The trips are approximately 2 hours in length.

1930's Ag Museum
This privately owned museum houses forty-two John Deere farm implements manufactured in the late 1920's through 1940. Showcased is a 1936 Model B John Deere Tractor, fully restored. The Ag Museum also features an antique horse equipment collection and period farm house furnishings, as well as equipment and hand tools found on a 1930's farmstead. All free of charge, open by appointment, located on the northern edge of Quincy.

RiverWatch Volunteer Stream Monitoring Workshop
The Illinois RiverWatch Network is a statewide, non-profit, volunteer stream monitoring program. Volunteers are trained and certified as “Citizen Scientists” to monitor and protect a local stream. Upon completing training and becoming certified, volunteers adopt a stream site and examine indicators of water quality like stream habitat and the diversity of species such as dragonfly nymphs, beetle larva, midges, and snails. Citizen Scientists play an important role in helping identify potentially degraded waters and areas that may need better protection. University of St. Francis, 9am-4pm.
Naperville Park District's Fishin' Kids
Learn all the basics of fishing including how to rig a pole, bait the hook, cast and handle fish. Parents need to remain with children during the class. Bring folding lawn chairs and remember your camera! All fishing poles, bait and tackle are provided. We’ll be fishing rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. Ravinia's Kid's Concert Series will feature Ko-Thi Dance Company. They are comprised of artists trained in the history, mythology and techniques of art forms within the African Diaspora.
