McHenry County Fair
The McHenry County Fair is a 68 year tradition held in Woodstock, Illinois. At the fair you can see 4-H, Open, and Junior Open livestock and non-livestock shows, educational displays revolving around conservation and agriculture, various vendors from different businesses and organizations across the county, a carnival, and a variety of ground and grandstand entertainment. It is an event for families to come to create summertime memories that last a lifetime.
139th Annual Summer Festival Oktoberfest in August
Fun times for all ages at the annual Octoberfest held at the Schwaben Center. German Food, 800 seat beer tent, live music, dancing, arcades, giant slide and free baggo. Friday night is rock and roll night, Saturday music by Amazing Mike, One Man Band, German music and dancers performing throughout the day. Sunday its traditional German music, Amazing Mike will perform again, dancing, games and more fun. Please visit the website for more information! Pere Marquette Rendezvous
Step back in time to the days when frontier fur trappers met with fur traders and buyers during this reenactment festival at Pere Marquette State Park. The Second Annual Pere Marquette State Park Rendezvous will be a traditional Pre-1840 event with buckskinned re-enactors portraying primitive traders and campers. There will be period demonstrations, black powder and longbow shoots, camp music and food common to days on the Illinois frontier. The public is invited to attend and admission is free.
Big Rock Plowing Match
Festivities include plowing competition, English and Western horse show, arts and crafts show, children's games, ladies and junior fair auction. Food available from local area vendors and much more. Parking is free.

Green Fair on the Fox
Green Fair on the Fox features an eco-marketplace, local businesses, physical fitness and sustainable, healthy living. There will be food, live music, demonstrations and fun activities for the whole family! Over 65 vendors and exhibitors will be on hand showcasing their green product or service. Fun activities for kids and adults alike will be going on all throughout the fair. Musical entertainment on the Peg Bond Stage. Green Fair on the Fox will be held rain or shine.
Alton Food Truck Festival
This event will feature food trucks from around the region offering global street food cuisine. In addition, the amphitheater’s concession team will offer beverages of all types to compliment the food trucks. Live music will be showcased on the amphitheater stage with Boogie Chyld as the Food Truck Festival’s headliner. The Alton Food Truck Festival is free to the general public. Each food truck will have a different food offering with a range of prices. Taking place in the heart of downtown Urbana, the 2016 festival will run Friday, August 26 from 5 to 11 p.m. and Saturday, August 27 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
