Annual Rhubarb Festival
Bake sale features more than 2,000 rhubarb pies and other delicious desserts. In addition, there will be a huge craft show (on Saturday only) and flea market, music, food, trolley tours of the town and shopping in the historic district. Arthur Amish Country Cheese Festival
This 3-day outdoor family street festival features 75-80 craft and food vendors, live entertainment all three days, a ceremonial cutting of a 300 pound wheel of cheese, 700 pounds of cheese given away, a 60 foot sub sandwich given away, antique tractor show, kiddie tractor pull, camel rides, stagecoach rides, buggy rides. Also a parade on Monday, and a kid-zone with games, inflatables, pony rides, rock climbing wall, 5K/10K run, car show and much more.
Arthur Amish Country Christmas Kickoff
The Christmas lighted parade steps off at 5:30pm and will showcase Santa & Mrs. Claus through downtown Arthur. Immediately following the parade, Santa will visit with children and parents in Knights Court downtown to start collecting those early Christmas requests. Complimentary hot chocolate and cookies will be served during his visit. Crazee Heart: John Ballentyne and Gus Noble formed Crazee Heart because they wanted to play their music, their way. They recruited drummer Leslie Walle-Santos and Chicago guitar master Jay Whitehouse. Together they set about building a show that blends John's songwriting craft with a collection of classic and modern covers. Its kind of Americana meets Honky-Tonk and it always ends up rockin'.
Bishop Hill Spring Jubilee
This celebration welcomes spring with businesses serving treats and refreshments. The 18th Annual Art in the Park is a juried show of fine art, craft, and design. The Stephenson County Antique Engine Club proudly presents this annual event, "The Freeport Show". It offers over 300 antique steam and horse-powered engines and equipment, and gas engines. There will be a huge parade daily at 1 pm, a large flea market, a large display building offering home antiques, crafts, demonstrations, and farm miniatures, Gasoline Alley featuring The Rawleigh gas engines, sawmill, and blacksmith shop. There will be threshing demonstrations with both steam and gas tractors, and working demonstrations throughout the show grounds. also ride the Silver Creek and Stephenson Railroad antique steam train. Great food is offered. Don't miss the Farmer's Hitch Class Horse Pull or the Midwest Championship Antique Tractor Pull.
59th Annual Ice Cream Social

Freeport Farmers Market

The Freeport Farmers Market is in operation from May through October in the CVS parking lot on South Street in Freeport.
Art in the Park

At the heart of the weekend, the Grand Tasting and Wine Auction offer more than 300 varieties of hand-picked wines and spirits from which to sample. The Lawlor family proudly offers tours and tastings of more than 40 award-winning wines at its Galena Cellars Vineyard & Winery. Take a vineyard tour, then kick back with a glass of wine on the veranda. Galena Cellars also has a tasting room on Main Street in Galena, housed in a beautiful brick 1840s grain storehouse with a shaded wine patio.
