A specialty shop devoted completely to the finest olive oils and balsamic vinegar's available, is what you will find at Olive Oil Marketplace. Gathered from top olive farms worldwide, the Extra Virgin Olive Oils are infused with natural flavors included roasted garlic, portobello and garlic, lemon pepper and Italian herb. There are more than 25 flavors of olive oils available. More than 17 flavors of balsamic vinegars are also on hand imported from Modena, Italy. Tasting stations for the olive oils and balsamic vinegars are set up throughout the store for customers. Jacoby Arts Center: Summer Music Series
Jacoby Arts Center presents the Summer Music Series to showcase the diversity and range of regional talent. The doors will open at 7:30 p.m., with the performance starting at 8:00 p.m. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, and no reservations are required. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10.
Alton Farmer's & Artisans' Market
There will be an abundance of delicious fresh produce, crafts, baked goods, plants & flowers, locally-raised hormone-free meat, handmade soaps, jewelry, artwork, pottery, art demonstrations and more at the Alton Farmer's and Artisans' Market. Admission is free for shoppers and there is plenty of parking at its new permanent location in the city-owned parking lot at the corner of Landmarks and Henry Street. The Alton Farmer's & Artisans' Market is every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Civil War Weekend
The Shawnee Hills Art Council of Anna Arts Center and P.A.S.T. of Union County are co-sponsoring a Civil War Weekend in Anna, IL. A quick snapshot of the planned events include: Historical bus tour: “Lincoln’s Footsteps and Friends in Anna-Jonesboro”; exhibits which include guns and quilts; re-enactors and encampment; storytelling; and Civil War era food and music. So mark your calendars and plan on coming to Anna Arts Center for a journey back in time.
Antioch's Taste of Summer Festival

Family oriented two-day celebration that features the famous burgoo, as well as craft market, games, carnival rides, concessions and contests. Entertainment includes Little Miss & Mr. Burgoo, local talent groups and well-known music acts. Parade at 10am Saturday.
Mennonite Relief Sale
This two day auction features locally handcrafted furniture, quilts, and other handmade items. There will also be a children's auction and train ride. Bake sales and food vendors help round out the event. Proceeds from the two day event go to help those in need in the community and around the world.
Arthur Amish Country Cheese Festival
This 3-day outdoor family street festival features 75-80 craft and food vendors, live entertainment all three days, a ceremonial cutting of a 300 pound wheel of cheese, 700 pounds of cheese given away, a 60 foot sub sandwich given away, antique tractor show, kiddie tractor pull, camel rides, stagecoach rides, buggy rides. Also a parade on Monday, and a kid-zone with games, inflatables, pony rides, rock climbing wall, 5K/10K run, car show and much more.
Arthur Amish Country Christmas Kickoff
The Christmas lighted parade steps off at 5:30pm and will showcase Santa & Mrs. Claus through downtown Arthur. Immediately following the parade, Santa will visit with children and parents in Knights Court downtown to start collecting those early Christmas requests. Complimentary hot chocolate and cookies will be served during his visit. Throughout the day, businesses in the downtown area as well as the countryside will feature early Christmas bargains and host Open Houses.
Shady Crest Farm Market
Come visit this working Amish farm and apple orchard. They have a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables for sale, plus fresh honey, apple butter and maple syrup. A Deli filled with 15 different Country-Cured Meats & 24 different Cheeses is also available Monday - Saturday. While you're there, enjoy a hand-dipped ice cream cone. A Touch of Arthur
A day-long display of products and services produced and provided by many of the 400 businesses within the Arthur area. Many country businesses have special promotions during this event. You will have opportunities to interact with the business owners who actually make and sell these products and services. Two Brothers Roundhouse
Originally constructed in 1855-1865, the roundhouse was renovated and now houses Illinois' largest microbrewery and brewpub. Passion for beer, love of food, and appreciation for great architecture flourishes in the walls of this historic 70,000 square foot facility. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Two Brothers Roundhouse is the oldest limestone roundhouse in the United States. As they bring new life to this 155 year old building, enjoy a casual atmosphere in the main dining room gastropub, our sports tavern and music venue or our new cafe and bakery.
