The 36th Annual Robbie McEvers Memorial Golf Tournament will be held at the Links Golf Course. This free tournament for junior golfers attracts over 350 players each year.
3rd Annual Color Aloft Balloon Festival
Bring the family out for this exciting new event held at Central Park in Grayslake. The Color Aloft Festival will begin with hot air balloons being inflated and compete in a "Fox and Hounds" contest in which competing balloons seek to land closest to the 'Fox'. Balloons will be retrieved and return to the park. After dark they will be internally illuminated by their burners and glow. 46th Annual Threshing Show and Antique Show
The Stephenson County Antique Engine Club proudly presents this annual event, "The Freeport Show". It offers over 300 antique steam and horse-powered engines, equipment, and gas engines. This year's feature is Allis-Chalmers. There will be a huge parade daily at 1 pm, a large flea market, a large display building offering home antiques, crafts, demonstrations, and farm miniatures, Gasoline Alley featuring The Rawleigh gas engines, sawmill, and blacksmith shop. There will be threshing demonstrations with both steam and gas tractors, and working demonstrations throughout the show grounds.
