The 2nd Annual Harvard Balloon Fest will host over 20 hot air balloons over Labor Day Weekend! More activities are scheduled this year including Run with the Balloons 5k/10k, 2 music stages, Movies in the Park, Night Glows, games and much more!

This Labor Day weekend, bring your family and friends up to the 2nd annual Harvard Balloon Festival! This small farm town transforms into a festival for just about anyone! 20 balloons will make ascensions on Friday Evening, Saturday morning, Saturday Evening, Sunday morning, and Sunday evening all weather permitting. Don’t miss the night glows each night where balloons inflate and light themselves from within. The sight of hot air balloons lit up like giant light bulbs is breathtaking. Pilots will coordinate “all burns” where they fire up their burners illuminating their balloons all at once!

Beyond the breathtaking balloons there will be activities occurring throughout the weekend as well. Two stages will be hosting different musical acts each night as well as a movie in the park Friday, Saturday and Sunday. In addition to musical entertainment there will be a business expo, open air market, local food and drink vendors, inflatable activities for children, helicopter rides, magic shows and of course balloon rides!

Looking to take a ride in a balloon? Visit harvardballoonfest.com/balloon-rides for more information! You may also take a tethered balloon ride for the less adventurous crowd! For only $20 you can take a ride up in a hot air balloon right on the fair ground site! These are available Friday night, Saturday morning and night, Sunday morning and night!

Want to stay for the entire weekend? There is plenty of lodging in the area, but you can also camp on site! When you camp at Balloon Fest you are for all of the early morning launches, and late night fun! Camp sites are $35 per night for a 20’x45’ camp site that includes electric and water access! Proceeds from this event will be distributed among a variety of local not-for-profit organizations, so you can enjoy your weekend, and make a difference as well!
