Family Fun Farm Tour
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live on a farm. Now you have the opportunity to explore a working farm. The Jo Daviess County Agriculture Promotion Committee is pleased to announce the first annual 'Beyond the Barn Farm Tour.'
Willow Valley Dairy Farm is a third generation farm. This farm is located at 4389 S Willow Rd., Kent, IL. Get an up close look at the milking process from the feed for the cows to the robotic self milking stations.
Thoren Farms have been farming for 42 years and the farm is located at 5650 S Ridge Rd., Stockton IL. See a tractor up close and all the high tech equipment a farmer uses to plant and harvest a field of corn or soybeans.
Conclude your tour with a stop at the Massbach Winery 8837 S Massbach Rd., Elizabeth IL. Grapes are a crop too. Come witness the process from the field to bottle and enjoy a tasting. Tastings are $3
