Exhibits in the museum cover a wide variety of topics. In the basement, visitors can explore coal mining, farming and agriculture, and the printing and publishing business that flourished in the building for many years. The first floor highlights Mascoutah's businesses and home life, and also features temporary exhibits. Currently, photo contest entries are displayed in the Gallery, and a presentation sharing information about Illinois' governors, capitals, and counties is showing in our small "theatre." Clothing, toys, country and city schools, and Native American artifacts are exhibited on the second floor. In front of the building is a newly dedicated monument to the coal miners of Mascoutah.
