Sample the harvest of Illinois wineries complimented by local chefs' pairings on Quincy’s Riverfront, the 4th weekend in September annually. The Great River Grape Escape is a free admission event, with live music both days. Tasting tickets and commemorative glass can be purchased for $15 along with additional samples at $1 each. Bottles available for sale during festival hours. New Festival hours this year are Sat. 12-7 and Sunday 12-5. Bring your lawn chairs and food, and enjoy wine and food pairings from local chefs and vintners. For more information contact the Quincy Area Convention & Visitors Bureau at 1-800-978-4748.
