Kick off the holiday season in Effingham with our annual Hometown Christmas event. Bring the entire family to enjoy a day filled with family-friendly activities, including horse-drawn carriage rides, ice skating and visits with Santa.

Downtown Effingham Business Group Presents Hometown Christmas December 3rd, 4th and 5th. Enjoy the traditions of Christmas in Downtown Effingham with Santa, Food Trucks, Winter Drinks and more! Friday night from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m., enjoy ice skating with the whole family then starting at 6 p.m. the lighting of the City Christmas Tree will begin.

Start your Saturday with lunch with Santa at Joe's Pizza from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m., then continue your holiday shopping at the Mistletoe Market. The day continues with ice skating from 12 p.m. - 9 p.m., food vendors and train rides from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. Santa's Workshop is open from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. with Santa arrving for the season at 4 p.m. From 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. experience horse-drawn carriage rides. To wrap up the weekend, enjoy ice skating, food vendors and visit with Santa on Sunday, from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m.
