Join local historian Greg Olson for a free tour of Calvary Cemetery on Lincoln Avenue at 2 PM on Sunday, June 29th. This tour offers the chance to learn about the influential Catholics of the community.
Join us for a special event, "Honoring the Lives and Legacies of Jacksonville's Catholics," a unique opportunity to explore the rich history and contributions of the Catholic community in Jacksonville. Local historian Greg Olson will guide participants through a fascinating tour of Calvary Cemetery on Lincoln Avenue, where many of Jacksonville's most influential Catholic figures are laid to rest.
The tour will take place on Sunday, June 29th, at 2 PM, and is free and open to the public. This event provides a chance to reflect on the enduring legacy of Jacksonville's Catholic heritage and gain insight into the stories of the individuals who helped shape the city’s cultural and spiritual landscape. This tour is sponsored by the Jacksonville Bicentennial Committee, Jacksonville Area Museum, and the Jacksonville Historical Society.
