Look up the word "lollapalooza" and you'll find this definition: an extraordinary thing; an outstanding example. You won't find any other music festival with a more fitting moniker than Lollapalooza, Chicago's grandest stage for music legends from across the globe. Each year, some of the top names in alternative, hip hop, punk and pop join more than 100 bands and musicians in Grant Park to bring you one loud, heart-stopping event.
And just when you thought it couldn't get any bigger, Lollapalooza expanded to four days in 2016 to mark its 25th anniversary. It's keeping that tradition alive by returning with four days in 2017!
The Headliners- Thursday: Muse, Lorde
- Friday: The Killers, Blink-182
- Saturday: Chance the Rapper, The xx
- Sunday: Arcade Fire, Justice
From band camps and hairdo tents to helpful festival necessities like baby changing stations, Kidzapalooza is a festival within a festival that's the perfect lil' getaway. Enjoy some family-friendly music while showing your kids how to experience one of the coolest events in the world.
Searching for environmentally-friendly accessories or rare jewelry from local, national and world-recognized artisans? Look no further. At Green Street you'll likely find a little bit of everything - items might include organic apparel, fair trade goods, handmade posters and even vintage houseware.
Chow Town showcases variety and quality of menu selections. Lollapalooza seeks Chicago favorite restaurants, and want to offer patrons much more than the typical "carnival" type fare, with an emphasis on fresh, reasonably priced items from the area.
