The home opener for Northern Illinois football season is dedicated to the Illinois Bicentennial. The NIU Huskies will play the Utah Utes. Cory Jobe, state director of tourism will be in attendance to help honor the achievements and contributions that Northern Illinois University and DeKalb County have made to our great state. Other state and local dignitaries will participate in a special halftime show that will be combined with tailgating and other special events. The remaining five home games at Huskie Stadium will celebrate the Bicentennial with other special promotions.
