Explore the hidden gems and architectural treasures of Chicago's diverse neighborhoods, including Oak Park - all for free.
The Chicago Architecture Foundation’s Open House Chicago is a free public festival that offers behind-the-scenes access to more than 200 buildings across Chicago. In 2016, the event featured 10 sites in the Village of Oak Park, hugging Chicago's west side and easily accessible via public transportation. Due to the success and popularity of the Oak Park sites last year, Open House Chicago will return to Oak Park once again on Oct. 14th & 15th, 2017.
In 2016, a number of renowned Oak Park landmarks were open for Open House Chicago including the Frank Lloyd Wright Home & Studio, Ernest Hemingway Birthplace, Pleasant Home, and more. Stay tuned for the list of participating venues that will be open during the event in 2017!
