Bike through the beautiful countryside and support the only historic Egyptian Style Theatre in Illinois
Join us for a fun and enjoyable bike ride through DeKalb and Kane Counties and support the historic Egyptian Theatre on Saturday, August 18th. Since the ride starts and ends at the Egyptian Theatre, you will have the opportunity to explore this historic landmark. This bike ride offers four mix-n-match 25-mile loops. All participants will be provided with route maps and all routes will be marked with signs. Bike at your own speed, this is not a race. All ages are welcome, however, those under the age of 16 must ride with a participating parent or guardian.
Our ride is quite unique because it utilizes a central rest stop for all routes. The central rest stop is located in Maple Park. It is indoors with air conditioning/heat and real restrooms. We stock the rest stop with lots of snacks, fruit, water, and Gatorade.
There will be an end-of-ride meal provided for registered riders. Our after-ride meal has continually been ranked as one of the best offered for bike rides. Non-participating family and friends can simply purchase meal tickets for $5.00 each.
Registration from 6:30 am-9:30 am. Riders must start by 9:30 am. The end-of-ride meal begins at 10:30 am and ends at 4:00 pm. All routes close at 3:30 pm.
The ride goes on rain or shine. Due to the charitable nature of this ride, there are no refunds offered. Registration for “Ride Like An Egyptian” is tax-deductible.
