A festival which began as a centennial celebration marking the 100th birthday of the Village has grown into a much anticipated annual community event known as RiverFest Express
Riverfest Express is South Elgin's annual summer festival held at Panton Mill Park along the Fox River. Festival hours are: Thursday 5-9pm; Friday 5pm-12 midnight; Saturday noon-11:30pm and Sunday noon-9pm. Features include carnival rides; live stage entertainment; a car show; craft show and small business expo; Valley Model Railroad; and fireworks on Saturday, August 18th.
