June 24-25 the Rock River will explode with Big Cat action that is both fun and family friendly plus Summer Splash is back on the Rock Falls riverfront and better than ever!
During the Bass Pro Shop Big Car Quest teams of two or three anglers will compete in a two-day action packed tournament which has anglers striving to produce a prize winning top 5 fish. The tournament will weigh-in fish on both Saturday and Sunday beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the Rock Falls riverfront venue. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy watching the anglers weighing in the biggest catfish of the day. The winner of the Rock Falls, IL Midwest Qualifier has the opportunity to attend the National Tournament in New Madrid, Missouri,-Mississippi River! This two-day tournament stop is open to both amateurs and pro fishers alike. The registration cost is $200.00 for a 2 angler team and $250.00 for a 3 angler team. All children 12 years old and younger fish for free. The tourney is guaranteeing $10,000 in cash and prizes.
At the same time the Rock Falls Summer Splash takes place on the Rock Falls riverfront and offers live entertainment, wild game cookout, kids activities, pub crawl, arts & crafts, car show and fireworks over the Rock River
