The Plum Creek Nature Center offers visitors a place to explore the natural world, with hands-on exhibits and interactive play elements.
Cure your winter blues at Goodenow Grove Nature Preserve’s annual winter festival. This year’s theme is inspired by the animated movie “Small Foot.” Follow the tracks to family-fun winter activities! Discover how to make our small feet into big feet with snowshoes. Watch an ice sculptor create a piece of winter art, and enjoy s’mores around an outdoor fire. Conquer the 40-foot sled hill using your own plastic sled or one of Plum Creek Nature Center’s sled tubes. Enjoy a monster snowball fight with or without snow. And then warm up in the nature center to explore exhibits and take part in arts and crafts. Keep an eye out for Bigfoot Willy! Free winter giveaways will be available for the first 200 visitors.
