Asia in Bloom: The Orchid Show at the Chicago Botanic Garden
Information
Come see how orchids are tied to pop culture icons and others at the Orchid Show, which also features the Garden’s playful take on “horticouture”—“dresses” made of fresh orchids—along with 10,000 orchids in bloom.
In the shimmer of silk lanterns... Look for sun-lit orchids under colorful handmade parasols, listen for the trickle of water from a bamboo spout, and take in a Japanese-style dry garden surrounded by burnt cedar in the shou sugi ban tradition. The Chicago Botanic Garden’s Orchid Show is an homage to the rich culture of Asia and its stunning array of native orchids. Come see 10,000 orchids in bloom.
